「再び9番が現れるには…」 ケディラがドイツサッカーの現状を憂う 「A代表は若手をテストする場じゃない」
元ドイツ代表MFサミ・ケディラ氏がドイツサッカー界の現状を憂いている。 現役時代にレアル・マドリーやユベントスなどで活躍し、2014年にはドイツ代表として臨んだブラジル・ワールドカップ(W杯)で優勝メンバーとなったケディラ氏。輝かしい時代のドイツを彩った大型ボランチは昨年9月に古巣シュツットガルトのアドバイザーに就任するも、今年6月に退任している。 ここ最近はドイツサッカー連盟(DFB)が新たなスポーツ・ディレクター(SD)としてケディラ氏の招へいを画策しているとの報道が。ケディラ氏はドイツ『キッカー』のインタビューに応じ、話し合いをしていることは認めつつ、「何も合意はないし、候補者は私だけではないよ」と謙遜した。 一方で、ドイツサッカー界の現状について危機感を抱いていると口に。ドイツ代表は男子が昨年のカタールW杯、女子が現在開催中のオーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子W杯でグループステージ敗退の憂き目に遭っているが、ケディラ氏は育成年代に異変が起きたと考えているようだ。 「ドイツサッカー界の危機は、主に青少年期の活動における長年の失策の結果だと思う。指導者から適切なトレーニングを受け、課題解決の優先順位を間違わなければ、最終的に大きな成果を得られるはずだ。最近のドイツ人選手は全員が均質で、同じタイプの選手しか出てきていないように思える」 また、ドイツにとって積年の課題であるストライカー不足にも言及。ミロスラフ・クローゼ氏の引退以降、ドイツ代表にはトップクラスの点取り屋がおらず、ケディラ氏も「再び9番が現れるには数年かかるだろう」と語っている。 ドイツ代表を率いるハンジ・フリック監督に対しては優れた選手ならベテランであっても招集すべきと訴え、A代表は実力でのし上がっていく舞台だと語気を強めた。 「4～5年前、ドイツは若手に代表チームの経験を与えるという理念を掲げた。その結果は皆が知るところだが、それによってマッツ・フンメルス、トーマス・ミュラー、ジェローム・ボアテングといった選手たちが離れて行った」 「若手が成長するためのスペースを作ったと言えば聞こえが良いが、私は致命的な兆候を感じていた。A代表はドイツの旗艦であり、最も優れた選手が呼ばれるべき舞台だ。若手をテストするのはA代表ではなくU-21だ」 「これから親善試合で日本、フランス、アメリカ、メキシコと戦うね。幅広い個性と優れた人格を備えたチームを見つけることが重要となる。これらの試合を通じて光が差せば、再びドイツサッカー界に高揚感を取り戻せると確信しているよ。だが、繰り返すが、最も優れた選手が呼ばれないようなら、もはや絶望的だ」 2023.08.07 15:11 Mon

リバプール退任決定のクロップ監督、休養希望もドイツ代表が招へいに動く?
リバプールの退任が決定しているユルゲン・クロップ監督(56)だが、すでにオファーが届いているようだ。 9シーズンにわたってリバプールを率いてきたクロップ監督は、これまでチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)やプレミアリーグ、クラブ・ワールドカップ(CWC)など多くのタイトルを獲得。今シーズンはすでにEFLカップ(カラバオカップ)を制しており、ここに来てやや失速もプレミアリーグでタイトルレースに参加するなど順調なシーズンを送っている。 しかし、クロップ監督は1月にエネルギーの枯渇を理由として、今シーズン限りでの退任を発表。リバプール退任後は休養する意向を明かしており、フットボール界への復帰については明言していない。 一方で、イギリス『ミラー』によると、ドイツサッカー連盟(DFB)が代表監督にクロップ監督の招へいを計画しているとのこと。ドイツ代表は現在指揮を執るユリアン・ナーゲルスマン監督にバイエルン行きの可能性があり、後任探しに着手しているという。 DFBはクロップ監督の希望も十分に理解しており、招へいを急いではいない模様。まずは現在ナーゲルスマン監督のアシスタントコーチを務めるサンドロ・ワグナー氏にチームを任せ、2025年からクロップ監督を招へいするプランも持っているようだ。 クロップ監督がどのような決断を下すかは不透明だが、もしドイツ代表が招へいに成功した場合、2026年の北中米ワールドカップでは稀代の名将が指揮を執る姿が見られるかもしれない。 2024.04.16 18:10 Tue
