アジア杯敗退の検証がおざなりでは/六川亨の日本サッカー見聞録

アジアカップ2023の決勝戦からまだ1週間も経っていないが、すでにずいぶんと昔のような感覚がある。これも日本がベスト8で姿を消したからだろうか。お隣の韓国ではユルゲン・クリンスマンの責任を問う声、解任を求める声が日増しに高くなっていると思っていたら、ソン・フンミンとイ・ガンインがヨルダン戦の前日に仲違いをしたとの報道があった。(※注:クリンスマン監督は16日に解任)

延長戦にもつれたラウンド16のサウジアラビア戦、準々決勝のオーストラリア戦とも2人の活躍があっての勝利だっただけに、チームマネジメントの難しさを改めて痛感させられる出来事だった。

さて日本である。JFAの技術委員会は2月8日に会合を開き、森保一監督の続投を決定した。カタールW杯から1年2ヶ月が経過し、その間の評価を下すにはちょうどいい頃合いだろう。ドイツとトルコには欧州での試合で勝ったし、代表Aマッチの連勝記録も更新した。アジアカップでは残念な結果に終わったものの、試合である以上、勝つときもあれば負けるときもある。森保監督の続投に「ケチ」をつけるつもりはない。
しかしながら、反町康治・技術委員長のズームによる報告だけでアジアカップの総括を済ませたことに違和感を覚える。というか、納得がいかないのだ。そんなに簡単に済ませていい、今回の敗退とは思えないからだ。

ここは森保監督と、山本昌邦TD(テクニカルダイレクター)出席のもと、ベトナム戦の苦戦やイラク戦とイラン戦の敗因などについて説明して欲しかった。
もともと日本はロングボール戦法を苦手とする。そんなことは20年以上前から指摘されていたし、サムライブルーだけでなく、なでしこジャパンの弱点でもある。それを熟知している韓国や、女子ではアメリカ、イングランド、ドイツといったヨーロッパ勢はポゼッション・スタイルではなくキック・アンド・ラッシュを仕掛けて来る。いまさら中東勢がロングボールを多用し、前線に屈強なFWがいてポストプレーを防げなかったのが敗因だとしたら、「何年日本のサッカーの、何を見て来たのか」と言いたくなる。

GK鈴木彩艶の身体能力の凄さは他のGKにはない魅力だし、将来性が豊かなのも理解できる。さらに4月にはカタールでパリ五輪のアジア最終予選もある。経験を積ませたいのはわかるが、それもイラク戦までではなかったか。チームの沈滞ムードを変え、守備陣の負担を軽減する意味でもインドネシア戦からは前川黛也をGKに起用すべきではなかったか。

そして、これも結果論になるが、エイメン・フセインのいるイラクやサルダール・アズムンのイランのように長身FWがいる相手には町田浩樹を含めて3BKを採用するプランはなかったのか。元々ケガを抱えていた板倉滉はイラク戦の終了間際に再び負傷し、インドネシア戦はメンバー外になっている。バーレーン戦まで中6日間あったとはいえ、彼を起用しなければならないほど町田や谷口彰悟、渡辺剛は信頼がおけなかったのか(彼らを起用して負ければ、それはそれで批判されるが)。

それ以外にも、様々な疑問を持った記者がいるだろう。そうした疑問に森保監督と山本TDには直接答えて欲しかったというのが正直な気持ちだし、それはファン・サポーターも同じではないだろうか。

3月にはW杯アジア2次予選が再開され、北朝鮮とのホーム&アウェー戦が控えている。もちろん2試合とも勝利を期待しているが、こうした疑問を抱えたままだと今ひとつスッキリしないというか、森保ジャパンに対して懐疑的な目を向けてしまいがちだ。

北朝鮮戦にGK大迫敬介は間に合うのか。監督批判をした守田英正は再招集されるのか。海外組でCLやEL出場組のコンディションはどうなのかなど、メンバー発表も気になるところである。

「一瞬息が止まった」「イケメンすぎ」谷口彰悟のモデル姿が話題に! プーマのゴルフ部門でアンバサダーに「そろそろ絶命してしまう」

「石油王みたい」「すっかりアラブの人に」谷口彰悟がカタールの民族衣装を着こなし話題!鷹を腕に乗せる優雅な姿が反響「馴染みすぎや」

「LOVE冨安」“なでしこジャパンロンドン組”から日本代表DF冨安にアツいエール!「トミーモテモテ」「うらやましいぞ」

「ずっと仲良しでいいですね」「最高すぎる」堂安律もダブルピース! ハワイを共に楽しんだ相手は10年来の仲間「素敵です」
