日本代表のDF陣は選手層の薄さが気になりませんか/六川亨の日本サッカーの歩み

スコットランド・プレミアリーグの得点王に輝いた古橋亨梧(セルティック)が、27日のアバディーン戦で負傷したのは気になるところ。しかし彼以外では、三笘薫(ブライトン)が自身にとってもクラブにとっても初のEL(欧州リーグ)出場を決め、久保建英(レアル・ソシエダ)も自身初のCL(チャンピオンズリーグ)出場を決めた。そして鎌田大地(フランクフルト)はイタリアの名門ACミランへの移籍が濃厚だという。6月のキリンチャレンジカップ2023は、なにかと話題の多い大会になりそうだ。

そんなキリンチャレンジカップ2023だが、26名もの選手が選出されながら、DF陣は6人という“少数精鋭”になった。話題としてはCB谷口彰悟(アル・ラヤン)が復帰したことと、両SBの出来る森下龍矢(名古屋)が初招集を果たしたことだろうか。とはいえ、今回の招集メンバーを見ると日本代表の層の薄さを感じざるをえない。

右SBの酒井宏樹(浦和)はケガから復帰したばかりだし、左SB中山雄太(ハダースフィールド)もケガで長期離脱中のため招集外は仕方がない。右SB山根視来(川崎F)はリーグ戦に出場しているものの、チームはDF陣にケガ人が多く、28日の柏戦もリザーブメンバーにDFの選手は1人もいなかった。鬼木達監督が、ここまで全試合出場を続けている山根に「もしものことがあったら」と危惧しても不思議はないだろう。もしかしたら9月の海外遠征ではベテランでキャプテンの吉田麻也(シャルケ)が復帰するかもしれないが、それにしても高齢化が気になる。

やはり冨安健洋(アーセナル)のたび重なる負傷離脱と伊藤洋輝(シュツットガルト)の今ひとつの伸び悩みが痛いと言わざるを得ない。このため6月の2試合では、4BKなら右から森下、板倉滉(ボルシアMG)、谷口、菅原由勢(伊藤)ということになるだろうし、3BKなら右から板倉、谷口、伊藤(瀬古歩夢/グラスホッパー)といったところだろうか。選択肢はかなり限定されているのが日本代表の現状だ。

中盤から前のメンバー構成にしても(4-3-3と仮定して)、ボランチは遠藤航(シュツットガルト)と守田英正(スポルティング)が濃厚だろう。右FWは、伊東純也(スタッド・ランス)は実績があるだけに、去年6月のガーナ戦以来ゴールから遠ざかっている久保、左FWは三笘のCL&EL初出場コンビの起用に期待したい。そしてトップ下は鎌田ということになる。

問題は1トップである。ボーフムの1部残留に貢献した浅野拓磨も悪くはないが、やはりエルサルバドル戦は格下ということもあるので、ケガの影響さえなければ古橋か、クラブでは好調ながら代表ではノーゴールの上田綺世に期待したい。浅野と前田大然(セルティック)はサイドでもプレーできる選手に対し、古橋と上田は1トップで生きる選手。今回は町野修斗(湘南)が招集外だけに、この2人を2試合で起用して欲しいところだ。

他の選択肢としては、遠藤と鎌田のダブルボランチにして、トップ下に久保を起用し、右MFは堂安律(フライブルク)でスタートし、三笘に代えて相馬勇紀(カーザ・ピア)を投入というオプションもある。

もちろん、こうしたカタールW杯のメンバーを押しのけて出場機会をつかむ選手が出現することは大歓迎であることは言うまでもない。

スコットランドでセルティック古橋の“マッシュヘア”が流行!?真似した学生に本人も太鼓判「最高の髪型だね!」

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン

急遽発足のU-23日本代表メンバーが発表! 要請受けでU-23カンボジア代表とアウェイで対戦《カンボジア遠征》
