ヨーロッパ・カンファレンスリーグ(ECL)決勝トーナメントのプレーオフが23日に終了。この結果、ラウンド16に進出する16チームが決定した。
ECLグループステージ2位通過8チームと、ヨーロッパリーグ(EL)の3位敗退8チームによって争われたプレーオフ。
DF町田浩樹とMF長谷部誠の日本人対決となったフランクフルトとユニオン・サン=ジロワーズの対戦は、町田が2戦共にフル出場したサン=ジロワーズが突破を決めた。
また、MF金子拓郎とDF荻原拓也を擁するディナモ・ザグレブは、2ndレグで金子が値千金の同点ゴールを記録し、難敵レアル・ベティスを破って突破。DF常本佳吾が2戦連続フル出場したセルヴェットもルドゴレツに競り勝ってラウンド16へ駒を進めた。
この8チームに加え、各グループステージを首位で突破したMF本間至恩を擁するクラブ・ブルージュ、リール、アストン・ビラ、フィオレンティーナ、フェネルバフチェら強豪が次ラウンドから参戦となる。

なお、ラウンド16の組み合わせ抽選会は23日にスイスのニヨンで開催され、各グループの首位通過チームとプレーオフ通過チームが対戦する形となるが、今ラウンドでは同一サッカー協会に所属するチーム同士の対戦はない。そして、ラウンド16は2024年3月上旬以降の開催となる。

神戸FW宮代大聖がアストン・ビラ行きの可能性と現地報道…公式戦18ゴールと飛躍、戦略的パートナーシップの影響も?
