フランスW杯にも出場した元ブラジル代表DFが急逝…朝起きてこずそのまま他界
1998年のフランス・ワールドカップ(W杯)にもブラジル代表として出場していた元サイドバックのゼ・カルロス氏が急逝した。55歳だった。 ブラジル『グローボ』によると、25日の朝に亡くなったとのこと。姪の自宅に滞在していた中、朝起きてこないことを不思議に思った家族が発見。心肺停止の疑いがあり通報すると、病院に緊急搬送。治療を受けたが、死亡が確認されたという。 ゼ・カルロス氏は、サン・ジョゼでキャリアをスタート。1997年1月から所属したマトネンセで急に頭角を表すと、同年8月にサンパウロへと完全移籍。1998年のシーズン開幕からの活躍によりサプライズでブラジル代表にも招集され、フランスW杯のメンバーに選ばれた。 キャリアの輝きはこの一瞬であり、フランスW杯では当時のレギュラーであるカフーの控えとなっていたが、出場停止となったことを受けて準決勝のオランダ代表戦で120分間プレー。ブラジル代表のキャリアはこの1試合という異例ぶりだ。 その後、グレミオやポンチ・プレッタなどでもプレー。2006年1月に現役を引退していた。 急死してしまったが、16歳の息子と8歳の娘が残されることとなった。 2024.10.26 11:10 Sat
