韓国サッカー協会(KFA)は11日、2026年の北中米ワールドカップ(W杯)アジア2次予選に臨む韓国代表メンバー23名を発表した。ユルゲン・クリンスマン監督の下、通算3度目の大会制覇を目指してアジアカップ2023に臨んだ韓国。グループステージを突破し準決勝まで勝ち上がったが、ヨルダン代表の前に惨敗に終わり敗退となった。

さらに、ヨルダン戦の前にチーム内で内紛が起きており、予てから燻っていたクリンスマン監督への批判が殺到。KFAもチームマネジメントの観点で問題視し解任。3月は暫定的にU-23韓国代表のファン・ソンホン監督が指揮を執ることが決まっていた。
新たな体制で臨むW杯予選には、キャプテンのFWソン・フンミン(トッテナム)、アジアカップで揉め事を起こしたMFイ・ガンイン(パリ・サンジェルマン)は共に選出。その他、DFキム・ミンジェ(バイエルン)、MFファン・インボム(ツルヴェナ・ズヴェズダ)、MFイ・ジェソン(マインツ)らが順当に選出された。

また、MFペク・スンホ(バーミンガム・シティ)やMFオム・ウォンサン(蔚山HD)が久々に代表復帰。また、MFチョン・ホヨン(光州FC)、FWチュ・ミンギュ、DFイ・ミョンジェ(ともに蔚山HD)が初招集を受けている。
Jリーグ組では、GKソン・ボムグン(湘南ベルマーレ)が唯一選出されている。

韓国はタイ代表との連戦。21日にホームで、26日にアウェイで対戦する。今回発表された韓国代表メンバー23名は以下の通り。

赤地に白のホームは「霜降り肉みたい」韓国代表の新ユニフォームはアウェイの方が人気に「アウェイは素晴らしいね」

元G大阪FWファン・ウィジョがOA枠で参加! 東京五輪に臨むU-24韓国代表メンバーが発表

「だから三流なんだ」ベスト16で敗退の韓国、ソン・フンミンの個人トレーナーが内情を暴露し不満「韓国サッカーに未来はない」
