韓国代表が元神戸FWキム・ドフン氏を暫定監督に任命…蔚山でACL制覇などの実績、6月の2試合を担当

現役時代は神戸でもプレーしたキム・ドフン監督

大韓サッカー協会(KFA)は20日、指揮官不在の韓国代表に関して、キム・ドフン氏(53)暫定的に指揮を執ることを発表した。

韓国代表は、アジアカップ終了後にユルゲン・クリンスマン監督を解任。その後新監督探しの時間がなく、U-23韓国代表を指揮するファン・ソンホン監督が暫定指揮。3月の北中米ワールドカップ(W杯)アジア2次予選を戦っていた。

その後、6月の北中米W杯アジア2次予選に向けて監督探しを再会。しかし、候補として名前が浮上していたジェシー・マーシュ氏はカナダ代表監督に就任するなど、後任が見つからない状況だった。

キム・ドフン氏は、現役時代は韓国代表のストライカーとしても活躍。“コリアン・ボンバー(爆撃機)”の愛称で親しまれ、全北現代ダイノス(現:全北現代モータース)、城南一和(現:城南FC)でプレー。また、1998年から1999年にはヴィッセル神戸dメオプレーし、2シーズンで58試合27ゴールと得点を量産した。

引退後は指導者となり、2015年に仁川ユナイテッドで初となる監督に就任。2017年からは蔚山現代FC(現:蔚山HD FC)で指揮を執り、コロナ禍の2020年のAFCチャンピオンズリーグ(ACL)を制して退任。2021年からはシンガポールのライオン・シティ・セーラーズで監督を務めていたが、2022年7月に相手コーチと取っ組み合いの喧嘩をし、頭突きなどの暴力行為で解任されていた。

KFAは監督の選任は続いているものの、6月のW杯予選に間に合わない可能性を考慮し、暫定的にキム・ドフン氏が指揮を執ると発表した。

「代表チーム監督選定のための交渉が継続されており、6月のAマッチ前まで監督選任が終わらない可能性がある。この場合を備え、今日(20日)午前、国家代表電力強化委員を開き、この問題を議論し、その結果、6月の2試合を引き受ける臨時監督でキム・ドフン監督を選任することにした」

また、キム・ドフン氏については「キム・ドフン監督は指導者として多様なキャリアを築きながら能力と成果を見せた」と評価。「シンガポールリーグでチームを優勝に導くなど、現地環境をよく知っている点も背景として作用した」と、これまでの指導実績をもとに選んだとした。

「だから三流なんだ」ベスト16で敗退の韓国、ソン・フンミンの個人トレーナーが内情を暴露し不満「韓国サッカーに未来はない」
