レッドブル・ザルツブルクの投稿がファンの間で話題となっている。
5日、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)のラウンド16の2試合が行われた。
アジア勢の日本代表と韓国代表がそれぞれクロアチア代表、ブラジル代表と対戦した。
オーストラリア代表とともに、史上初となる3カ国がアジアからベスト16に残っていたが、日本はクロアチアにPK戦の末に敗戦。韓国は前半に4失点を喫し、ブラジルに完敗して敗退となった。
ラウンド16でアジア勢が全滅してしまったが、ザルツブルクの日本語公式ツイッターが1枚の写真をアップして話題だ。
その写真は3人の選手が抱き合っているもの。背中を見せているのは、18番のユニフォームを着た南野拓実と9番のユニフォームを着たファン・ヒチャンだ。
共に5日の試合に出場し、悔しい敗退を味わった中、「私達の誇り」として写真を投稿。2人と抱き合うのはハンガリー代表MFドミニク・ショボスライだ。
3人は2019-20シーズンはザルツブルクでチームメイトに。その後、南野はリバプール、フアン・ヒチャンはRBライプツィヒ、ショボスライも後にライプツィヒに移籍し、現在は誰も在籍はしていない。
この投稿には「泣ける」、「1番グッときた」、「ザルツブルクありがとう」とコメントが寄せられている。
アジア勢として、世界に一歩近づいた反面、まだまだ差があることも痛感させられた大会。4年後はどのような結果を残してくれるだろうか。

31日、東京オリンピックの男子サッカーの準々決勝4試合が行われる。U-24日本代表がU-24ニュージーランド代表との一戦に臨む中、ライバルでもあるU-24韓国代表はU-24メキシコ代表との戦いを迎える。
そんな中、韓国代表のFWチョン・ソンウォン(24)のイケメンぶりにも大きな注目が集まっている。
大邱FCに所属するチョン・ソンウォンは今シーズンのKリーグ1で主に右サイドで起用され、13試合1ゴールをマーク。A代表経験はないものの、AFC U-23選手権タイ2020にも選出。4試合に出場しU-23韓国代表の優勝にも貢献している。
選手としても確かな実力を持つチョン・ソンウォンだが、最大の注目はそのルックス。K-POPのアイドルを彷彿とさせるような端正な顔立ちにお洒落な髪型で絶大な人気を誇り、自身のインスタグラムでは60万人を超えるフォロワーを抱えている。その人気もあり大邱広域市広報大使まで務めている。
韓国メディアによると、チョン・ソンウォンは「大邱のアイドル」と呼ばれ、自身が幼稚園児の頃に2002年の日韓ワールドカップでの元韓国代表MFパク・チソン氏がポルトガル代表戦で決めたゴールを観て、サッカー選手を志すようになったという。
25日に行われたグループステージのU-24ルーマニア代表戦で相手選手と衝突。治療しながらもピッチに戻った際にはその情熱と美貌まで大きな話題になったとのことだ。
チョン・ソンウォンはオリンピックでここまで2試合に出場しているが、そのルックスは日本でも注目を集めており、韓国の音楽グループ「BTS(防弾少年団)のメンバーにいそう」「神は二物を与えたみたい」「優勝」といったコメントが寄せられている。
U-24メキシコ代表戦では、韓国の結果だけでなくチョン・ソンウォンのルックスにも注目だ。

AFC U23アジアカップに臨むU-23韓国代表メンバーが発表された。
16日からカタールで開催される同大会。パリ・オリンピックの出場権を懸けた戦いとなり、アジアに与えられた3.5枠を争うこととなる。
大岩剛監督率いるU-23日本代表とグループステージで同居する韓国。グループの上位2カ国がベスト8進出を果たす中で、五輪の切符を争うライバルとなる。
そのチームには、セルティックのMFヤン・ヒョンジュンやブレントフォードのDFキム・ジス、デュッセルドルフのMFキム・ミンウら海外組も招集されている。
その他、2023年の U-23ワールドカップ(W杯)でベスト4に入ったメンバーからキム・ジンスら5名が招集。アジア競技大会のメンバーから3名が招集されている。
韓国はKリーグ1組の18名が国内キャンプを行い、5日にUAEへ移動。再びキャンプを行い、10日にカタール入りする予定とのことだ。なお、海外組の合流時期は未定となっている。

ポルトガル代表のFWクリスティアーノ・ロナウドが、韓国代表戦での出来事に不快感を示した。ポルトガル『レコルド』が伝えた。
2日、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)グループH最終節が行われ、ポルトガルは韓国と対戦した。
首位に立ちすでに突破を決めているポルトガルは、勝たなければグループステージ敗退となる韓国と対戦。試合は開始5分にリカルド・オルタが幸先よくネットを揺らし、ポルトガルが先制する。
C・ロナウドはこの試合に先発したが不発に終わり、65分には途中交代。チームはその後2失点を喫し、2-1で敗れたが、ポルトガルは首位を守った。
試合後、C・ロナウドは交代時の出来事に不快感を示し、韓国の選手が早くピッチの外に出ることを促したやりとりに苦言を呈した。
「何が起きたかというと、僕が交代する前のことだった。韓国の選手が『早く出ていけ』と言ったので、『そんな権限はないんだから黙ってろ』と言ったんだ」
「スピードを上げていれば何も言わなくていいはずだ…言うならば審判でなければならない」
「議論する必要はない。試合中の熱気だ。何が起きても、全ては常にフィールドに留まることになる」
多少の揉め事があったものの、しっかりと首位通過をしたポルトガル。C・ロナウドは次のステージに向けて意気込んだ。
「最も重要なことは、僕たちが団結しなければならないと言うことだ。次のステージにいる。選手だけでなく、ポルトガルの人々も自信を持たなければいけない」

韓国サッカー協会(KFA) とナイキは18日、韓国代表の新ユニフォームを発表した。
2026年の北中米ワールドカップ(W杯)アジア2次予選に臨んでいる韓国。3月はタイ代表との連戦を控えているが、その試合から着用する新ユニフォームとなる。
そのデザインについて、ホームユニフォームは伝統の赤をベースに、直線や曲線を組み泡わせた柄をシャツ前面と背面裾にデザイン。袖口と襟は、ミントグリーン、赤、黒の3色で施されており、ナイキのロゴもミントグリーンであしらわれている。
一方のアウェイユニフォームは黒がベースに。シャツ全体にピンクとライトブルーを組み合わせた模様が不均一にデザインされたモダンなデザインになっている。
新デザインについて、ファンは「ホームは生肉みたいだ」、「霜降り肉みたい」、「オリジナリティがある」、「アウェイキットは必須だ」、「アウェイは素晴らしいね」などと反応。今回はアウェイユニフォームの方が好評を得ている。
