絶対女王アメリカ、オランダ戦ドローでW杯連勝記録は止まるも無敗記録継続!男女通じて歴代最長「19」に

アメリカ女子代表のワールドカップ(W杯)におけるある記録が止まり、ある記録が更新された。

アメリカは27日、オーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子W杯グループE第2節でオランダ女子代表とウェリントン・リージョナル・スタジアムで対戦。2019年フランス大会決勝の再現カードとなった一戦は、日本審判団の山下良美主審、坊薗真琴副審、手代木直美副審が担当した。

過去4度の優勝を誇り、史上初の3連覇を目指すアメリカは、初戦のベトナム女子代表戦に3-0で勝利。2015年カナダ大会から続く、自身の持つW杯連勝記録を「13」に伸ばしていた。

だが、この試合では17分にジル・ルート(ヴォルフスブルク→マンチェスター・シティ)の先制弾を浴び、ビハインドで折り返すことに。なお、アメリカ『NBC10フィラデルフィア』によれば、絶対女王がビハインドで前半を終えるのは、W杯では52試合中6度目だったとのことだ。

それでも、62分にCKからリンジー・ホラン(リヨン)がヘディングで同点ゴールを挙げると、直後にはアレックス・モーガン(サンディエゴ・ウエーブ)もネットを揺らす。だが、後者はオフサイドで逆転には至らず、そのまま1-1ドローでタイムアップを迎えた。

この結果、連勝記録はストップ。ただ、2011年ドイツ大会から続く無敗記録は「19」に伸びた(PK戦は引き分け扱い)。アメリカ『CNN』や『CBS』によれば、これは男女通じてもW杯最長記録とのことだ。

グループEの最終節は8月1日に行われ、アメリカは初出場のポルトガル女子代表と対戦。ノックアウトステージ進出を懸けるとともに、どこまで記録を伸ばせるかにも注目が集まる。

女子選手の意見を参考に配慮し白パンツを中止、ナイキが女子W杯出場13カ国の新ユニフォームを発表!

アメリカ女子代表新監督にエマ・ヘイズ氏の就任内定チェルシー女子の指揮は今季限り

アメリカ女子代表の監督にイングランド人指導者のエマ・ヘイズ氏(47)が就任した。ヘイズ氏は2012年からチェルシーの女子チームを率いて、通算6度のWSL制覇を含む15個のタイトルを獲得。個人としては2021年のFIFA女子最優秀監督賞に輝いたほか、WSL最優秀監督賞も通算6度の受賞歴を誇る。そんな女子サッカー界の名指導者は今月4日、今季をもってチェルシー女子チームの監督退任を明らかに。新天地としてアメリカ女子代表が大方の予想を占めるなか、14日の同国サッカー連盟を通じて就任が決まった。来年5月の今季終了後から指揮を執り、7月末に開幕のパリ・オリンピックで金メダル獲得を目指すヘイズ氏は「世界のサッカー史で最も素晴らしいチームを指導する機会を大変光栄に思う」などと語った。アメリカ女子代表は先のオーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)で3連覇を逃し、ヴラトコ・アンドノフスキ前監督が辞任。トゥウィラ・キルゴア氏が暫定的に指揮する状況だった。 2023.11.15 13:25 Wed
