13日、アジアカップ2023グループB第1節のオーストラリア代表vsインド代表が行われ、2-0でオーストラリアが勝利した。

この一戦ではアジアカップ史上初めて女性が主審を担当。日本の山下良美さんが試合を裁き、副審は坊薗真琴さんと手代木直美さんが務めた。

Jリーガーを2人擁する2015年大会王者のオーストラリアは、FC町田ゼルビアのミッチェル・デュークが最前線に入った一方、アルビレックス新潟のDFトーマス・デンはベンチスタートに。試合が始まるとやはり序盤から主導権を握り、6分にはミッチェル・デュークが遠目からファーストシュートを放つ。
対するインドも機を見て前がかりに。16分には右からのクロスをスニル・チェトリが頭で叩いたが、ゴール左へと外れた。

早めに先制点が欲しいオーストラリアは21分に猛攻。畳み掛ける中でコナー・メトカーフの強烈なシュートが飛んだが、GKグルプリート・シンハ・サンドゥに防がれた。
その後も度々インドゴールに迫るオーストラリア。しかし、決め手を欠いたまま前半終盤へ。シュート数は14vs3、CK数は12vs0ながらゴールレスのままハーフタイムへ突入した。

両チームともに交代なしで迎えた後半、オーストラリアがようやくゴールをこじ開ける。右からのクロスはGKグルプリート・シンハ・サンドゥに弾かれるも、こぼれ球に反応したジャクソン・アーバインが左足で蹴り込み、50分に先制点が生まれた。

先に交代カードを2枚切ったオーストラリアは、69分にバックパスがあわやオウンゴールというヒヤッとする場面も。ぎりぎり枠を外れていた上、前に出ていたGKマシュー・ライアンがボールに追いつき、事なきを得た。

72分にさらに2人選手を代えたオーストラリアはその直後、途中出場の2人が追加点を生み出す。ライリー・マクグリーが右サイド深くをえぐり、折り返しをジョーダン・ボスが押し込んだ。

終盤にかけても試合を支配したオーストラリアは、追加点こそ奪えなかったもののインドに完勝。決定力に課題は残したが、幸先の良いスタートを切った。

パリ五輪の審判団が発表…日本からは山下良美主審、坊薗真琴副審、手代木直美副審の3名が選出

日本戦で直接FK弾のフルスティッチ、同僚の鎌田大地ではないユニフォーム交換相手は誰?

21歳のオーストラリア人MFが同性愛者であることをカミングアウト「サッカー選手であり、ゲイだ」

元オーストラリア代表DFのレイバット氏が遺体で発見…99年にベルマーレ平塚でプレー

ベルマーレ平塚でもプレーした元オーストラリア代表DFスティーブン・レイバットさん(46)が遺体で発見された。 オーストラリア『シドニー・モーニング・ヘラルド』によると、レイバットさんは13日に家族から行方不明届が出されていたとのこと。12日に友人を訪ねるため、南東部シドニーから東部ブリスベン近郊のバイロン・ベイへ向かったものの、13日午前には家族と連絡が取れなくなっていたという。 地元警察が大規模な捜索を行った結果、14日夜にバイロン・ベイからほど近いビーチ近くの低木林でレイバットさんの遺体が発見されたとのこと。現段階で死因や事件性の有無は公式には発表されていないものの、事件性は低いとみられている。 レイバットさんは2000年のシドニー五輪にU-23オーストラリア代表として参加し、2000〜2004年にかけてはA代表で15試合出場。クラブキャリアでは1999年に短期間ながらもベルマーレ平塚(現:湘南ベルマーレ)でプレーし、オランダのフェイエノールト、ベルギーのヘントなどにも在籍経験を持つ。 引退後は「現役時代にそんなことはできなかった」として2021年に同性愛をカミングアウト。同年には、病院のリハビリ病棟に勤務するなか、腎臓移植によって高齢男性の命を助けていた。 レイバットさんの訃報を受け、元オーストラリア代表DFルーク・ウィルクシャー氏など、多くの関係者が哀悼の意をSNSなどで表明している。 2024.01.15 13:30 Mon
