女性審判員のパイオニア、フラパール主審がイングランドvsオーストラリアを担当…女性としてウェンブリーで初の主審に

ヨーロッパ屈指の実力が認められ、女性レフェリーの歴史を塗り替えているステファニー・フラパールさんが、また1つ歴史を動かすことになるという。

フラパールさんはフランス人審判員。カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)にもアテンドされ、日本人の山下良美主審らと共に6人の女性審判員の1人となった。

フラパールさんは、メキシコvsポーランドで第4審判としてW杯デビューを飾ると、コスタリカvsドイツでは主審としてもデビューし、女性主審として初めて男子W杯を裁くことに。また、オーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子W杯でも主審として活躍を見せた。

また、ヨーロッパでもリーグ・アン、リーグ・ドゥ、チャンピオンズリーグ、UEFAスーパーカップでも審判を務めた実績がある。

そのフラパールさんは、13日に行われるイングランド代表vsオーストラリア代表の国際親善試合を担当することが決定した。これはウェンブリー・スタジアムで笛を吹く初の女性審判員となる。

イングランドサッカー協会(FA)の審判責任者であるピーター・エルズワース氏は、期待を寄せている。

女性レフェリー3名が東京五輪に選出、男性は木村博之氏がサポートに

史上最高“究極”のオールラウンダー、フランク・ランパード

元ユナイテッドSDがFAに復帰…新設のチーフ・フットボール・オフィサーに就任

元マンチェスター・ユナイテッドのスポーツディレクター(SD)、ダン・アシュワース氏が、イングランドサッカー協会(FA)に復帰することになった。 FAは14日、アシュワース氏が新設のチーフ・フットボール・オフィサーに就任すると発表。同職ではイングランド代表の男女チームと緊密に連携していくことになるという。昨年12月にユナイテッドのSDをわずか5カ月で退任したアシュワース氏。それ以前にはブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオン、ニューカッスルで手腕を発揮しており、国内外のクラブからのオファーも想定されていたが、2018年まで6年間に渡って勤務していたFAに復帰することになった。アシュワース氏は、セント・ジョージズ・パークの再開発を監督し、2028年に開催されるユーロ2028の共催に向け、競技施設とピッチの改善を目指す。さらに、この新役職は、男子フットボールのテクニカルディレクターであるジョン・マクダーモット氏と緊密に連携するとともに、FAの最高経営責任者(CEO)であるマーク・ブリンガム氏とも連携する。また、イングランド国内の地元出身のコーチの育成にも携わる予定だという。 2025.05.15 16:30 Thu

ウェストハムMFデクラン・ライスとチェルシーMFメイソン・マウントの親友コンビが憧れのスリーライオンズで夢のようなゴール共演を果たした。イングランド代表は18日、UEFAネーションズリーグ2020-21リーグA・グループ2最終節でアイスランド代表と対戦し、4-0で快勝した。そして、同試合では前半の20分にMFフィル・フォーデンのFKに頭で合わせたライスが待望の代表初ゴールを挙げると、その4分後にはセットプレーの二次攻撃からマウントが代表通算3ゴール目を奪取。主役の座は2ゴール1アシストのフォーデンに譲ることになったが、ライスとマウントの2人にとっては子供の頃の夢を叶えた最高の試合となった。共にロンドン生まれ、チェルシーのアカデミー育ちの両選手は8歳の頃からの親友で、14歳の時にライスが放出の憂き目に遭った際にはマウントの母親が涙を流すなど、家族ぐるみの付き合いをしてきた。その後、マウントが順調にチェルシーで活躍を続ける一方、ライスは新天地ウェストハムでブレイクを果たし、両者はプレミアリーグでは良きライバル、イングランド代表では中盤の相棒として切磋琢磨を続けている。そして、このアイスランド戦ではついに同じ試合でゴールを挙げるという、まるで夢のような瞬間を共有することになった。同試合後、殊勲のライスとマウントはイギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』のポストマッチインタビューで、ゴール共演を振り返っている。まずはライスが、「中盤で一緒にプレーできることを知った時、それ自体が特別な瞬間だったよ。さらに、同じ試合でゴールを決められるなんて信じられないことだよ」と、素直な感動を伝えた。一方、マウントは親友とのゴール共演を喜びながらも、新型コロナウィルスの影響により、無観客開催が続く中、相棒と自身を支えてきた互いの家族がスタジアムで同じ喜びを共有できなかったことを残念に感じている。「もしもファンの入場が許可されていれば、彼ら(両家族)は一緒に見守ってくれていたはずさ。彼らは僕がデビューした時も一緒にいたし、デク(ライス)と初めて一緒にプレーした時もね。僕らは彼らと共に特別な思い出を共有してきたからね」「僕らは小さい頃から親友だし、これからもより多くの素晴らしい思い出を作っていけたら最高だね」なお、ハマーズで守備的MFとセンターバックで印象的な活躍を続けるライスにはフランク・ランパード監督が以前から熱視線を注いでおり、今冬、あるいは来夏にはチェルシーでの親友コンビの共演も期待されている。 2020.11.19 18:05 Thu
