アメリカ女子代表FWマロリー・スワンソン(旧姓ピュー:24)がワールドカップを断念せざるを得なくなった。

7月に開幕を迎えるオーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)へ向けて各国が準備を進める中、アメリカは8日にアイルランド女子代表との国際親善試合を行った。

この試合ではエミリーフォックスが代表初ゴールを決め、ジュリー・アーツが出産後611日にぶりに代表復帰するという明るいニュースも飛び込んできた。一方、2月のSheBelieves Cupのなでしこジャパン戦でもゴールを決め、代表6試合連続得点中だったスワンソンの長期離脱というネガティブな話題も上ることとなった。

「壮大で記憶に残る」ナイキのPVでムバッペvsロナウジーニョが実現!豪炎寺修也も登場で海外ファン歓喜

女子選手の意見を参考に配慮し白パンツを中止、ナイキが女子W杯出場13カ国の新ユニフォームを発表!

コパ・アメリカ2024は米国開催へ! 2026年W杯候補都市での開催か

コパ・アメリカ2024は、2024年夏にアメリカで開催されることになるようだ。アメリカ『ESPN』が報じている。開催地を持ち回り制としている同大会は、通常であればエクアドルで開催予定だったが、同国は昨年11月に開催を辞退。これを受け、ペルーとアメリカが開催に名乗りを上げていた。しかし、今回の報道によると、北中米カリブ海サッカー連盟(CONCACAF)と南米サッカー連盟(CONMEBOL)の間での協議は非常に進んだ段階にあり、次回のコパ・アメリカがコパ・アメリカ2016以来のアメリカ開催となる可能性が高まっているという。現在、両連盟の間では乗り越えなければならない小さなハードルがいくつかあるものの、3カ月前にカタールで開催されたワールドカップ後に、議論はかなり進んでおり、近日中にも公式なアナウンスが行われる見込みだという。なお、試合会場に関しては、2026年にカナダとメキシコと共催で行うワールドカップの開催が予定されるいくつかの都市がすでに候補として挙がっているとのことだ。また、同大会は伝統的にCONMEBOL加盟10カ国以外の連盟に所属するチームを招待国として参戦しているが、今大会では開催国のアメリカが通算5度目の参戦となる可能性が高いという。 2023.01.28 08:00 Sat
