クロアチアサッカー連盟(HNS)は16日、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)欧州予選に臨むクロアチア代表メンバーを発表した。
ズラトコ・ダリッチ監督は25名に加え予備メンバー4名の合計29名を招集した。
今回のメンバーにはMFルカ・モドリッチ(レアル・マドリー)やMFマテオ・コバチッチ(チェルシー)、DFデヤン・ロブレン(ゼニト)らが順当に選出された。
また、ドイツ代表を選択して物議を醸したDFボルナ・ソサ(シュツットガルト)がついに招集された。
ユーロ2020ではグループステージを2位で通過したものの、ラウンド16でスペイン代表に敗れて敗退していたクロアチア。ここまで予選3試合を戦い、2勝1敗でグループ首位につけている。

「甘かった」規則抵触でドイツ代表頓挫のソサ、クロアチアに対して謝罪「近道でゴールに到達したいという欲に駆られた」
シュツットガルトのDFボルナ・ソサ(23)が、クロアチアサッカー連盟(HNS)を通じて声明を発表。自身の選択を謝罪した。 ソサはクロアチア出身のDF。世代別の代表チームはクロアチアでプレーしていたが、7日にドイツの国籍を取得。これにより、ドイツ代表が選択できるようになった。 2018年のロシア・ワールドカップでは予備登録メンバーとなっており、現在はシュツットガルトでも主力を務めているソサだが、ズラトコ・ダリッチ監督から招集されたことはなく、A代表歴はない状況だった。 しかし、ダリッチ監督はA代表に招集したい意向があったものの、U-21クロアチア代表との兼ね合いで招集を見送っていたが、ソサはプレー機会がないことに不満を持ち、ドイツ代表への切り替えを明言していた。 そんな中、国際サッカー連盟(FIFA)が2020年9月から適用している規則により、ソサはドイツ代表を選択できないことが発覚。新規則では21歳を超えて世代別のチームでプレーした場合は、A代表の選択を変えることができないというものであり、ソサは22歳9カ月22日でU-21クロアチア代表としてプレーしていた。 これによりドイツ代表の選択が不可能となったソサ。自らクロアチアを捨てるような行動に出たことで、代表選手としての道が完全に閉ざされることとなってしまった。 そのソサは、HNSを通じて謝罪の声明を発表。自身の軽率な判断でクロアチアを裏切ったことを謝罪。チャンスをもらえるならば、クロアチア代表のために貢献したいと意思を表明した。 「過去数日、僕の人生において多くのことが起こり、特にスポーツのキャリアにおいて傷を残しました」 「自分が直面している状況に対し、自分の決定を躊躇したことはありませんが、代表のキャリアについて決断した時は、自分は正しいことを信じていると信じていました」 「しかし、僕は間違った決断を下したこと、そして甘かったことが分かりました」 「他のアスリートと同様に、子供の頃、僕は大きな大会に出場することを夢見ていました。お金やその他の価値を考えず、僕はまだ夢見ています。もちろん、ユーロやワールドカップに出場することも夢見ています」 「しかし、その夢の中であっても、多くの人が僕を理解してくれないという幻想は抱いておらず、そのことでみんなを責めることはしません。この状況になった責任は、僕だけにあります」 「クロアチアサッカー連盟から僕に伝えられたことを誤解したことから、別の、そしておそらく近道でゴールに到達したいという欲に駆られて、決断をしてしまいました」 「僕は2012年に世代別のクロアチア代表でデビューを果たし56試合に出場しました。パフォーマンスは良い時も悪い時もありましたが、クロアチアのユニフォームを着てプレーした全ての試合を誇りに思っています」 「僕が下した決断は間違っていたので、その責任を負わなければなりません。クロアチアサッカー連盟と選考委員の方々が、まだ代表チームの成功に僕が貢献できると信じてくれるのであれば、僕はその招集に応え、貢献したいと考えています」 「最後になりますが、クロアチののスポーツに関わる皆様、クロアチアサッカー代表チームのファンの皆様、そしてクロアチアサッカー連盟の皆様に、心からお詫び申し上げます。このような状況で、僕に忍耐、理解、正しさを示してくださったことに感謝します」 2021.05.14 13:45 Fri

クロアチア代表は暫定メンバーから変更なし! ドイツ行きの26名&背番号が決定【ユーロ2024】

PK戦で競り負けたクロアチア…ダリッチ監督は「フランスを祝福したい」と潔く敗退受け止める
クロアチア代表のズラトコ・ダリッチ監督が、PK戦の末に敗れたフランス代表戦を振り返った。 クロアチアは23日、UEFAネーションズリーグ(UNL)2024-25のファイナルズ・準々決勝2ndレグでフランスに0-2で敗戦。2戦合計2-2で延長戦、PK戦までもつれ込んだ激闘に敗れてベスト4進出を逃した。 MFイバン・ペリシッチの1ゴール1アシストの活躍によって1stレグを2-0で先勝し、アドバンテージを持って臨んだ敵地での2ndレグ。戦前の予想通り、立ち上がりからアグレッシブに攻勢を仕掛けたフランスの攻撃を受ける展開に。 前半は粘りの守備で無失点となったが、後半は中2日の厳しいコンディションの影響もあって耐え切れずに2失点。2戦合計スコアで追いつかれたなか、以降は割り切った守備的な戦いで延長戦、PK戦まで持ち込むことに成功した。 そのPK戦ではPKにめっぽう強い守護神ドミニク・リヴァコビッチがセーブはならずも、相手キッカーに圧力をかける形で2度の失敗を誘発。一方、若手中心で臨んだ弊害か、相手守護神に2本のセーブを許すなど、3度の失敗によって競り負けた。 同試合後、ダリッチ監督はクロアチア『Sportske novosti』で「フランスを祝福したい。彼らの方が優れたチームだったし、我々の選手たちは全力を尽くした」と潔く敗退を受け入れた。 「我々は防戦一方の展開にしたくなかったが、相手にそうさせられた。我々はできる限り戦い、最大限の力を出し、PK戦までたどり着いたが、運が味方してくれなかった。我々はPKを3本外し、リヴァコビッチは2本を防げそうだったが、仕方がない」 「パワー、エネルギー、強さ、スピードがあまりなかった…。自分や選手を責めるつもりはない。我々は最大限の力を出し、PK戦までたどり着いたが、その優位性はなかった。これが我々の最大限の力であり、受け入れなければならない。このような相手と対戦するのは厳しい」 また、後半の早いタイミングでMFルカ・モドリッチをベンチに下げた采配に関しては、「モドリッチは疲れ果てており、交代を待っている間に2点目を許してしまった。多くの選手を交代する必要があったが、最後まで戦った。状況がそうさせたのだ」と中2日の日程面、防戦一方の展開によってそうせざるを得なかったと説明している。 3人が失敗したPK戦の人選についても指揮官は「誰が一番準備ができているか尋ねたところ、5人の選手がすぐに立ち上がった。それが彼らの決断だった。非難することはない。彼らは責任を取った」と、勇敢に名乗りを挙げた選手たちを擁護している。 これでUNLベスト8敗退という結果となったヴァトレニ。しかし、指揮官はリーグA首位フィニッシュという結果自体が素晴らしいものだとポジティブに受け止め、2026年北中米ワールドカップの本選出場に向けて気持ちを切り替えた。 「我々の目標はグループリーグを突破することで、それを達成した。それ以降はすべてボーナスだった。PK戦に持ち込み、ヨーロッパのトップ8入りを果たした」 「選択肢はネーションズリーグ準決勝でスペインと対戦するか、予選1回戦でジブラルタルと対戦するかのどちらかだったが、結局ジブラルタルと対戦することになった。次の目標はワールドカップ出場権を得ることだ」 2025.03.24 11:15 Mon

さらにお父さん似に?モドリッチとそっくりな娘が10歳に
