ヘンダーソンがリバプールを去る可能性? FGSの目論見、ワイナルドゥムの二の舞も

リバプールのキャプテンを務めるイングランド代表MFジョーダン・ヘンダーソン(31)だが、将来は安泰ではないようだ。『アスレティック』が伝えた。2019-20シーズンは30年ぶりのプレミアリーグ制覇を達成したリバプール。しかし、2020-21シーズンはディフェンスラインに相次ぐ負傷者が出たことなどもあり、マンチェスター・シティにタイトルを譲っていた。

改めてリーグ優勝を目指す新シーズン。来たるシーズンに向けて、今オフのリバプールはやることが山積だ。
スポーツ・ディレクター(SD)を務めるマイケル・エドワーズ氏は、選手との交渉が大量に残されている状況。クラブのクオリティを維持するためにも、その働きは非常に大きなウェイトを占める。

リバプールにとっての優先事項は、ブラジル代表GKアリソン・ベッカー(28)とMFファビーニョ(27)の契約延長だ。シーズン開始前に長期契約にサインすることを目指しているという。
また、オランダ代表DFヴィルヒル・ファン・ダイク、エジプト代表FWモハメド・サラー、セネガル代表FWサディオ・マネの契約延長も取り付けたいところ。3選手はいずれも2023年6月30日までの契約となっている。

さらにはイングランド代表DFトレント・アレクサンダー=アーノルド、スコットランド代表DFアンドリュー・ロバートソンは、2024年6月30日までの契約があるが、彼らもチームのために契約の話を進めたいようだ。

いずれも契約期間に余裕はあるものの、チームとしては長く留めるために契約年数を保っておきたいところ。その中にはヘンダーソンも含まれていたが、オフシーズンの契約延長の交渉が上手くいっていないという。

ヘンダーソンとリバプールの契約交渉は決裂はしていないため、今後も継続して話は進められていく状況。しかし、リバプールのオーナーを務めるフェンウェイ・スポーツ・グループ(FSG)はヘンダーソン以上に優先する事項があると考えているようだ。

『アスレティック』によれば、このヘンダーソンの状況は、今夏パリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)へと完全移籍したオランダ代表MFジョルジニオ・ワイナルドゥムと似ているという。

FSGは、若手へ投資するという方針を持っており、5年契約を求めた今年31歳になるワイナルドゥムの要求を飲まないことを決定。結果としてPSGへと移籍し、3年契約を結んでいる。

ヘンダーソンは現在31歳。契約が満了する頃には33歳となり、FGSの方針としては難しい状況となる。また、PSGのマウリシオ・ポチェッティーノ監督はヘンダーソンを気に入っているとされ、状況を見守っているとされている。

また、ヘンダーソンを狙うのはPSGだけでなく、アトレティコ・マドリーも考えられるという。アトレティコにはウルグアイ代表FWルイス・スアレスが所属。リバプール時代のチームメイトとの再会を楽しみにしているようだ。

もちろん、リバプールが簡単にヘンダーソンを手放すことは考えにく。指揮を執るユルゲン・クロップ監督はヘンダーソンへの信頼を示しており、それは揺るぎないもの。ここ数年のチャンピオンズリーグ優勝、プレミアリーグ優勝を支えた功績を認めている。

ただし、ワイナルドゥムが契約満了で退団したことを考えると、クロップが選手の契約に完全に関与できるわけではないという見方もできる。クロップの意見が通れば、ワイナルドゥムは今シーズンもリバプールに滞在していた可能性は高い。

最終的にはマイク・ゴードン会長とエドワーズSDに委ねられる可能性が高く、クラブがどう判断するかがカギに。キャプテンとの契約延長交渉はしばらく注目を集めそうだ。

イングランド代表の家族にFAがカタールの状況を説明…服装や振る舞いなど問題を起こさない予防措置
