PKと言えば決めるのが当たり前とされており、PK失敗シーンの方が珍しいが、「決めて当たり前」というプレッシャーが逆に足かせとなり、メンタルの強さが試されるプレーだ。また、その独特のプレッシャーを再現することは試合本番でしかできず、練習できないプレーだとも言われている。

◆ミス数1位も外した分だけ決めている!

PKが得意、不得意な選手がいる中、『Transfer Markt』が21世紀に入ってから、最もPKをミスした選手たちを紹介している。
21世紀で最もPKを外した選手は、史上最高の選手と名高いバルセロナのアルゼンチン代表FWリオネル・メッシとユベントスのポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウドの2人となっており、それぞれ27度のPK失敗を記録している。

しかし、PKを蹴った母数ではC・ロナウドの162回に対し、メッシは126回であることから、成功率はC・ロナウドの方が高いことが分かった。
また、3位には99回のPKを蹴り、19回外している元イタリア代表FWフランチェスコ・トッティと、4位に92回のPKで16回の失敗を経験している元スウェーデン代表FWズラタン・イブラヒモビッチがランクイン。

しかし、メッシ、C・ロナウド、トッティ、イブラヒモビッチの4人は、同時に21世紀で最も多くPKを決めている選手の上位4人にもなっており(1位:C・ロナウド、2位:トッティ、3位:メッシ、4位:イブラヒモビッチ)、成功も多い分、失敗も多いという結果となった。

1994年のアメリカワールドカップ(W杯)決勝でPKを外した元イタリア代表FWロベルト・バッジョ氏は「PKを外すことができるのは、PKを蹴る勇気を持つ者だけだ」という名言を残しているが、まさにその言葉通りの結果となっている。

メッシ 大好きなマテ茶のストローは7万円超えの特別仕様

メッシと妻は30年来の仲、幼馴染の2人が結ばれW杯で優勝するまで

ボリビア代表のレジェンドであるFWマルセロ・モレノ(36)が代表引退を決断した。 ボリビア代表のキャプテンを務め、これまで106試合31ゴールを記録。出場試合数、ゴール数ともにボリビア代表の最多記録であり、紛れもない同国のレジェンドだ。 クラブレベルでもヴィトーリア、クルゼイロとブラジルでプレーした他、シャフタール・ドネツク、ブレーメン、ウィガンとヨーロッパでもプレー。その後はブラジルに戻り、グレミオ、フラメンゴ、クルゼイロでプレーし、中国スーパーリーグの長春亜泰、武漢卓爾、石家荘永昌でもプレー。パラグアイのセロ・ポルテーニョでプレーし、現在はエクアドルのインデペンディエンテ・デル・バジェでプレーしている。 2007年にボリビア代表デビューを果たしたモレノは、2010年から2022年まで4大会のW杯予選を経験。今回が5度目の挑戦だが、ここまで4連敗で最下位という状況だ。 ボリビア代表としてワールドカップ(W杯)には出ることがなかったモレノは、今月行われる2026年の北中米W杯南米予選のペルー代表戦、ウルグアイ代表戦が最後の代表活動になる事を記者会見で発表した。 「個人的には大変な時期だったが、家族や友人と話し、次の2試合が代表チームでの最後の戦いになる事を決断した。良い別れになるだろう。チームを応援してほしい」 「この決断は、若手をサポートするためのものである。僕たちは他のチームと同じ条件ではない。なぜボリビアのサッカーがこのような状況を続けているのかを解明するため、監督たちにプレッシャーをかけなければいけない」 「僕たちは新たらしい選手たちが、W杯に到達するまでのプロセスをサポートし、彼らに相応しい自信を与えなければいけない」 モレノはボリビア代表としてW杯南米予選で通算22ゴールを記録。これはアルゼンチン代表FWリオネル・メッシ(31ゴール)、ウルグアイ代表FWルイス・スアレス(29ゴール)に次ぐ歴代3位の成績も残している。 2023.11.14 13:25 Tue

表彰見送りの「バロンドール」がドリームチームを発表!現役からはメッシ&C・ロナウドが選出
