アル・ヒラルのブラジル代表FWネイマールが、自身の3人目の子供の誕生を報告した。
19日、ネイマールは自身のインスタグラムを更新。Helena(エレナ)ちゃんが7月3日に誕生したことを発表した。
ネイマールが投稿した写真には、生まれたばかりでベッドに寝るエレナちゃんを長男のダビ・ルッカ君と見守っている写真や、ダビ・ルッカ君が抱っこする写真をアップした。
ネイマールには12歳になったダビ・ルッカ君、そして長女のメイビーちゃんが2023年10月に誕生している。ただ、ダビ・ルッカ君の母親は、インフルエンサーのキャロル・ダンタスさん、メイビーちゃんは同じくインフルエンサーのブルーナ・ビアンカルディさんだが、今回誕生したエレナちゃんの母親もまた別の人物だ。
すでにブルーナさんと破局していたネイマールだが、2024年1月にはモデルのアマンダ・キンバリーさんとの交際が報じられており、エレナちゃんの母親はキンバリーさんのようだ。
キンバリーさんも、自身のインスタグラムでエレナちゃんの誕生を報告。ネイマールについては言及されていないが、エレナちゃんの写真を撮影したカメラマンの撮影した写真にはネイマールも映り込んでおり、どうやら2人の子供のようだ。
近年は度重なる負傷によりほとんどプレーできていないネイマール。現在も負傷しており、コパ・アメリカ2024も欠場。3人目の子供が誕生した中、ピッチ上で元気な姿を見せてくれる日が待たれる。

▽国際サッカー連盟(FIFA)は17日、ロシア・ワールドカップ(W杯)のチーム・オブ・ザ・トーナメント(ベストイレブン)を発表した。
▽6月14日から7月15日までの約1カ月間に渡って開催されていたロシア・ワールドカップ(W杯)は、フランスの20年ぶり2度目の優勝で幕を閉じた。大会を通じて多くの選手が輝いた中、FIFAは今大会のベストイレブンを選出した。
▽[4-2-3-1]の布陣が採用された中、GKにはフランス代表キャプテンのGKウーゴ・ロリスがベルギー代表GKティボー・クルトワ、イングランド代表GKジョーダン・ピックフォードらを抑えて選出された。

▽通常、こういったベストイレブンなどの各賞の選出には多くの異論が出るものだが、今回に関してはロリス、パウリーニョ、ネイマール、ヤングの選出に批判が集まっている。大会最優秀GKのクルトワを抑えての選出となったロリスに関しては決勝戦の信じがたいミスがなければ、優勝チームのキャプテンという事情もあり選出に異論が出ることはなかったかもしれない。
▽その一方で、フランス代表MFエンゴロ・カンテや同MFポール・ポグバ、クロアチア代表MFイバン・ラキティッチ、同FWイバン・ペリシッチ、ベルギー代表MFケビン・デ・ブライネを抑えてパウリーニョ、ネイマールが選出されたのも解せないところだ。
▽それ以上にサプライズとなったのは今大会を通じてセットプレーのキッカーとしてまずまずの存在感を見せたものの、流れの中ではさほど目立たなかったヤングの選出だ。左サイドバックに関してはフランスの優勝に貢献したDFリュカ・エルナンデスやブラジル代表DFマルセロらもいただけに、“クセがすごい”選出と言わざるを得ないだろう。

サッカー界のトップを牽引し続けた2人の関係は、2人にしか分からなそうだ。
サウジアラビアのアル・ナスルへと移籍したポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウドが、インスタグラムでサウジアラビアでのデビュー戦に言及。投稿した写真が話題を呼んでいる。
昨年11月、マンチェスター・ユナイテッド、エリク・テン・ハグ監督を批判するインタビューを行ったC・ロナウドはそのまま契約解除。12月31日に予てから噂されていたアル・ナスルへ加入した。
チームに合流しトレーニングはしているものの、試合出場は果たせていないC・ロナウド。そんな中、パリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)とのフレンドリーマッチに臨む、オールスターチームのキャプテンを任され、19日にデビューを果たした。
サウジアラビア移籍後、初めての試合となったC・ロナウド。対戦相手には、時代を牽引したアルゼンチン代表FWリオネル・メッシが所属。フレンドリーマッチではありながら、両者の最後の対戦とも見られている一戦では、互いにゴールを決めるなど見せ場を作った。
試合後、C・ロナウドはインスタグラムを更新。試合の写真と共に、メッシと挨拶する写真を投稿し「ピッチに戻って来れて、スコアシートにも名前を載せられてとても嬉しい!そして旧友にも会えて嬉しい!」と綴った。
PSGには、メッシ以外にもレアル・マドリー時代の同僚であるDFセルヒオ・ラモスやコスタリカ代表GKケイロル・ナバス、これまでも対戦したブラジル代表FWネイマール、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)でも対戦したモロッコ代表DFアクラフ・ハキミなどヨーロッパで戦った仲間や対戦相手が多く所属する。
「旧友」には彼らも含まれるはずだが、C・ロナウドが投稿した写真でPSGの選手と写っているのはメッシとの2ショットのみ。2人の関係性はやはり特別なようだ。
なお、アル・ナスルでのデビュー戦は22日に行われるサウジ・プロ・リーグのアル・エティファク戦となる予定だ。

ドルトムントのイングランド代表MFジュード・ベリンガムの足に注目が集まっているようだ。
2日のブンデスリーガ第5節でホッフェンハイムを1-0で下したドルトムント。6日にはチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)グループG開幕節でデンマークチャンピオンのコペンハーゲンをホームに迎え、マルコ・ロイスのゴールなどで3-0と快勝を収めた。
いずれの2試合を含めて今季フル出場を続けているのがベリンガムだ。コペンハーゲン戦では終盤に追加点も挙げている。
そのベリンガムだが、靴下に穴が空いているとの指摘が上がっている。
ホッフェンハイム戦後にドルトムントのツイッターが投稿したロイスとの抱擁シーンでは、確かにソックスのふくらはぎ部分に多数の穴が空いていることが確認できる。いったい何故なのか。
イギリス『スポーツバイブル』によると、これは決して削られたわけではなく、意図的に切り込みを入れているとのことだ。
サッカー用のソックスは締め付けが強い。そのため、切れ目や穴を空けることでそれを緩和し、筋肉の緊張をほぐして痛みを防ぐことができるという。ケガの防止にも役立つとしている。
同メディアは、これまでにもネイマール(パリ・サンジェルマン)やブカヨ・サカ(アーセナル)、ガレス・ベイル(ロサンゼルスFC)、カイル・ウォーカー(マンチェスター・シティ)らも同様に靴下へ細工を施していると、紹介している。
