大会公式は谷川萌々子を注目選手に!U-19日本女子がフランスでのSUD Ladies Cupに臨む

U-19日本女子代表は16日から21日にかけ、フランスで行われるSUD Ladies Cup 2023に参加する。大会公式サイトは日本の注目選手にMF谷川萌々子(JFAアカデミー福島)を挙げた。

来年開催予定のFIFA U-20女子ワールドカップ(W杯)を目指すU-19日本女子。同メンバーで迎える初の海外遠征、対外試合には、2020年8月にコスタリカで開催されたU-20女子W杯準優勝メンバーのMF林愛花(MVLA Soccer Club/アメリカ)に加え、WEリーグでも結果を残すMF榊原琴乃(AC長野パルセイロ・レディース)やMF笹井一愛(ノジマステラ神奈川相模原)らが招集された。

現地入り後の11日にはD1 Arkema(フランス女子1部)で現在3位のパリFCとのトレーニングマッチを実施。FW根府桃子(大和シルフィード)の先制点を含め、5-3の勝利で終えた。

開幕に先立って大会公式サイトは注目選手を紹介。「日本のライジングスター」と称されたのが谷川だ。

「(当時)17歳の攻撃的MFは2022年10月にインドで行われたU-17女子W杯で最大の発見だった」と綴られた谷川は、両足遜色ない長短のキックを武器に昨季はなでしこリーグ2部で8得点を挙げ、今季もすでに3ゴールをマーク。同大会では圧巻のロングシュートを含む4試合連続ゴールを記録し、シルバーブーツにも選出された。

準々決勝で対戦したU-17女子スペイン代表メンバーの1人、FWヴィッキー・ロペスはすでにバルセロナでUEFA女子チャンピオンズリーグ(UWCL)にもメンバー入り。同年代の谷川にも今大会をはじめとした国際舞台でのさらなる活躍が期待される。

アジア競技大会に臨む日本女子代表メンバーが発表!女子W杯参加者はFW千葉玲海菜のみ、WEリーグ女王の浦和LからはMF塩越柚歩ら3名が参加

アジア競技大会優勝メンバー、18歳DF古賀塔子がフェイエノールト加入!今冬にはなでしこデビューも果たす

「鶏デカすぎ」「ケンタッキーとのコラボか?」フランス代表の新ユニフォームにはビッグサイズのロゴが採用「巨大すぎない?」
