イングランド代表で50ゴール達成のケイン、記録更新にも自信「母国のためゴールを決めるのは格別だ」

トッテナムのイングランド代表FWハリー・ケインが、代表通算50ゴール達成を喜んだ。イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』が伝えている。

ケインは7日に行われたUEFAネーションズリーグ(UNL)のリーグA・グループ3第2節のドイツ代表戦で先発した。

試合開始からオープンな展開となるも、次第に主導権を握られたチームは多くのチャンスを作られながらも耐えきりハーフタイムへ。後半も引き続き守勢に回ると50分に失点を許したが、そこから反撃に転じると85分にPKを獲得。これをケインが冷静に決めて代表通算50ゴール目を記録すると、そのまま1-1のドローに終わった。

初戦のハンガリー代表戦で黒星を喫していたチームはこれで2戦未勝利となったが、試合後のインタビューに応じたケインは50ゴール達成の喜びを露わに。ウェイン・ルーニー氏の持つ代表歴代最多ゴール記録まであと3ゴールと迫ったことに対して、これからもチームのためゴールを決め続けたいと意気込んだ。

「本当に良い気分だ。1本目のシュートはバーを越え、2本目はマヌエル・ノイアーに好セーブされてしまった。それでも最後の30分間は、最高のフットボールができたと思う。ゴールを決められて良かったけど、最後のチャンスに決められなかったのは残念だね」

「僕はゴールを決めるのが大好きだ。特に母国のためゴールを決めるのは、常に格別だよ。これからもチームを助けられるなら、いつだって喜んでゴールを決める」

1位に輝いたのは、アストン・ビラでプレーするスイス女子代表のアリーシャ・レーマン。世界一セクシーなアスリートとしても知られ、インスタグラムのフォロワーは1340万人。元プロテニスプレーヤーのロジャー・フェデラーを超え、インスタグラムで最も人気のあるスイス人アスリートとなっている。アストン・ビラでは2シーズンでFA女子スーパーリーグ(FAWSL)で43試合に出場し7ゴール。スイス代表としても38キャップを記録している。
