ドイツ代表のユニフォームを巡り騒動が発生している。2024年のユーロ開催国でもあるドイツ。2014年のブラジル・ワールドカップ(W杯)では優勝を果たしたものの、その後は世界の舞台でも力を発揮できず、2018年のロシアW杯、2022年のカタールW杯では連続してグループステージ敗退。2021年のユーロではベスト16で敗退している。

カタールW杯後も混迷を極め、結果が出なかったことでハンジ・フリック監督が日本代表戦に敗れて解任。現在は、ユリアン・ナーゲルスマン監督の下で立て直しを図っている。
そのドイツ代表は、ユーロ2024に向けて新ユニフォームを発表。アウェイユニフォームがピンクと紫のカラーリングになったことが猛反発を受け、ファン・サポーターのみならず、OBからも批判を受けるなどしている中、新たな問題が浮上した。

それは背番号の問題。新たなフォントが採用された中、「44」が「SS」に類似しているとファンが指摘。「SS」とは、親衛隊を意味する「Schutzstaffel(シュッツシュタッフェル)」の略号で、ナチスを示すマークとして知られている。「44」のフォントが似ているという指摘に対し、ドイツサッカー連盟(DFB)は声明を発表。「4」のデザイン変更を行うとした。
「ジャージのデザインに関するコミュニティからの情報によると、DFBは0～9の番号をチェックし、1～26の番号を審査のためにUEFAに提出しました。関係者の誰も、ジャージのデザインの開発過程においてナチスの象徴性との類似性を認識していませんでした」

「それにも関わらず、我々はこの情報を非常に真剣に受け止めており、議論の場を提供するつもりはありません。私たちのパートナーである11teamsportsと協力して、背番号4の代替デザインを開発し、UEFAと調整する予定です」

なお、アディダスはこの件を受け、背番号「44」のユニフォームのオンライン販売を中止している。

ドイツ代表は、自国の大手スポーツブランドとなったアディダスと1950年代からパートナー契約を結んでいたが、2027年からはナイキと契約することを発表。このユニフォームがアディダス製の最後のユニフォームになるとみられている。

W杯で日本と対戦するドイツ代表の呼称「ディー・マンシャフト」が廃止に…7月末に結論

カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)では、日本代表とも対戦するドイツ代表だが、その“愛称”について議論がなされている。 2014年のブラジルW杯では優勝を果たしているドイツ代表。チームの愛称として「Die Mannschaft(ディー・マンシャフト)」が採用されている。 これはW杯制覇後の2015年にドイツ代表のマネージャーを務めるオリバー・ビアホフ氏が呼称として導入したもの。意味は「これがチームだ」というものだが、廃止の方向で話が進んでいる。 ドイツサッカー連盟(DFB)のベルント・ノイエンドルフ会長は、この呼称について終わる可能性があることを20日にコメント。7月末に結論を出すという。 「終わりが来る。7月末に責任機関の会合が開かれ、決定が確実に下される。終わりのない話には興味がない」 「今回の定性調査では、我々のイメージを固め、意見をまとめることができるはずだ。ただ、調査に依存することはない」 この言葉の生みの親とも言われるビアホフ氏は「我慢すれば良い」と会長の決定を受け入れることを示唆。日本と対戦するときにはもう使われない愛称となっていそうだ。 2022.06.21 14:30 Tue

本当は18歳ではなく22歳? ドルトムントの至宝・ムココに年齢詐称疑惑が再燃、出生証明書の真偽が問われることに

ドイツ代表に激震、77年続いたアディダスとの契約終了…2027年からはナイキに

「最後にはドイツが勝つ」リネカー氏が名言をアップデート!
