マンチェスター・シティのジョゼップ・グアルディオラ監督が25日に行われ、3-1で逆転勝利したプレミアリーグ第23節チェルシー戦を振り返った。

新戦力のFWオマル・マーモウシュとDFアブドゥコディル・クサノフを先発に抜擢したチェルシー戦。シティは開始3分にクサノフのヘディングでのバックパスが短くなっていきなり失点を許す最悪なスタートに。

それでも前半終盤の42分にDFヨシュコ・グヴァルディオルが同点弾を挙げると、後半の半ばにFWアーリング・ハーランドが逆転弾を奪取。そして終盤の87分にMFフィル・フォーデンがトドメの3点目を挙げて会心の逆転勝利とした。
グアルディオラ監督は先発に抜擢した20歳のクサノフをまずフォローした。

｢最高のスタートではなかった。それでも彼はこの試合から教訓を得るだろう。そう確信している。まだとても若く今後何年もここに居ることになる。ジャクソンやパーマーら素晴らしい選手に対応するのはそもそも簡単ではない｣
｢現状、彼とコミュニケーションを取るにはロシア語かウズベク語を学ばなければならない。英語を流暢に話せないからね。彼に何かを言うことはない。自分が間違いを犯したことを理解しているからだ。私が交代させる時はイエローカードを受けている時であってミスをした時ではない｣

開始早々のミスによりバタついたクサノフはイエローカードを受けていたこともあり、54分に交代していた。

アグエロがシティの歴史に名を刻んだ瞬間、プレミア初優勝を決めた93:20の熱狂
