スタッド・レンヌは1日、アル・ナスルのコートジボワール代表MFセコ・フォファナ(29)を完全移籍で獲得したことを発表した。契約期間は2029年6月までの4年半となっている。

パリ出身のセントラルMFであるフォファナはマンチェスター・シティでプロキャリアをスタート。その後、ウディネーゼで活躍し、RCランスに完全移籍。RCランスでも活躍し、2023年7月にFWクリスティアーノ・ロナウドが所属するアル・ナスルに移籍金2500万ユーロで移籍していた。

しかし加入半年でスティーブン・ジェラード監督率いるアル・イテファクにレンタルに出されると、今季もレンタル延長でアル・イテファクでプレーを続けていた。主力としてサウジ・プロ・リーグ13試合に出場していたが、生まれ故郷のフランスに帰還することになった。

昨年11月からホルヘ・サンパオリ監督が率いるスタッド・レンヌは現在、リーグ・アンで12位に付けている。
