ブラジル代表が発表! ジョエリントンら4選手が初招集に

ローマ新守護神オルセン、アリソン後釜の苦悩語る「多くの重圧に晒されている」

ローマで構想外のスウェーデン代表GKオルセンがモンペリエ移籍へ!

ロナウドが日韓W杯での“大五郎カット”を謝罪、奇抜な髪型の裏事情とは?

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン

カカ、再婚相手の妊娠を発表! 奥さんは13歳年下の美人モデル

今からおよそ30年前に開幕したJリーグ。その創世記、世界的に著名な外国人選手たちが、日本サッカーを盛り上げた。 “神様”と呼ばれる元ブラジル代表のジーコが鹿島アントラーズを牽引すれば、元アルゼンチン代表のラモン・ディアスは横浜マリノスを牽引し初代得点王になるなどしていた。 数多くの代表選手が集まった中、異彩を放っていた選手がいる。それがドゥンガだ。 ブラジル国内クラブでプレーした後はイタリアへと渡り、フィオレンティーナでは中心選手として活躍。後に殿堂入りも果たしているほどだ。ちなみにサントス時代にはFW三浦知良(鈴鹿ポイントゲッターズ)ともチームメイトとしてプレーした。 その後、ブンデスリーガのシュツットガルトでプレーしていた中、1995年7月にジュビロ磐田へと加入した。 <span class="paragraph-title">◆“鬼軍曹”と呼ばれたキャプテンシー</span> <div style="text-align:center;"><img src="https://image.ultra-soccer.jp/1200/img/2022/dunga20220427_tw1.jpg" style="max-width: 100%;"></div><div style="text-align:right;font-size:small;" id="cws_ad" class="desc">Getty Images<hr></div> 現役のブラジル代表選手としてJリーグに参戦したドゥンガ。日本が一度もワールドカップ(W杯)に出場していない時代に、2度もW杯に出場し、移籍の前年に行われた1994年のアメリカW杯では優勝メンバーでもあったことから、大きな注目を集めた。 ブラジル人選手と言えば、華麗なテクニックを武器としたプレーが特徴として思い浮かぶだろう。サイドバックであっても攻撃力に秀でている選手、センターバックでも得点力がある選手、GKでもFKを蹴り続けた選手など、その才能に限りはない。 しかし、ドゥンガはそういったプレーヤーとは一線を画す存在。テクニックがないわけではないが、プレーの選択は常に堅実。リスクを冒すことはなく、ボランチの位置でボールを持ってもドリブルは不用意にはせず、正確な長短のパスを供給して局面を動かすプレーを見せる。 コーチング能力も高く、少しでも守備をサボる選手がいれば強烈な檄が飛ぶ。良い意味でブラジル人“らしくない”選手だった。 そのスタイルから“鬼軍曹”とも呼ばれたが、プロリーグがスタートしたばかりのJリーグでも大きな影響を与えた。所属の磐田は、1997年から2004年まで、毎年何らかのタイトルを獲得していた。 いわゆる“黄金期”を迎えたわけだが、そのチームの根幹にはドゥンガの教えがあった。ドゥンガによって鍛えられた選手たちが、ドゥンガ退団後に花を開かせたのだ。 <span class="paragraph-title">◆堅実ながらも勝利を誰よりも求める男</span> <div style="text-align:center;"><img src="https://image.ultra-soccer.jp/1200/img/2022/dunga20220427_tw2.jpg" style="max-width: 100%;"></div><div style="text-align:right;font-size:small;" id="cws_ad" class="desc">Getty Images<hr></div> 前述の通り堅実さがプレーの信条だったドゥンガ。そしてそれをチームメイトに求めることができる“キャプテンシー”が最大の特徴だった。 プロリーグとはいえ、どこか緩さがあった当時のJリーグ。サッカー王国のブラジルで生まれ育ち、代表チームでキャプテンを務め、W杯を制したばかりの男にとっては、物足りなさもあっただろう。 特に1994年のW杯では、問題児でありエースのFWロマーリオをキャプテンとしてどう扱うかを考えていた。圧倒的な得点力を持つロマーリオだが、ピッチ外の素行には大きな問題があった。練習への遅刻、規律違反…しかし、ブラジルが勝つために必要な得点を取る能力は抜群だった。 キャプテンとして、その才能を生かすために大会中はロマーリオと同じ部屋を希望。説き伏せた結果、問題を起こすことなく、さらに5ゴールを記録して、チームは見事24年ぶりにW杯で優勝した。 自身のプレースタイルから考えれば、苦渋の決断だった可能性もある。しかし、チームが勝つために必要とあれば、自らがその問題を解決するために努力をするというスタイルを持っている。 それは磐田でも同様だった。常に勝利を求めるということを忘れず、攻撃陣に特徴があった磐田を牽引しながら、守備には口うるさく味方を怒鳴りつけた。ピッチ上でその光景を見たことは何度もあるのではないだろうか。ただ、全てはチームの勝利のため。ハードワークだけでなく、選手の成長を助け、日本サッカーの発展にも貢献した貴重な助っ人だった。 <div id="cws_ad"><hr>ブラジル代表で活躍し、“鬼軍曹”としても知られているドゥンガが大人気スポーツ育成シミュレーションゲーム『プロサッカークラブをつくろう!ロード・トゥ・ワールド』(サカつくRTW)に登場!<br/><br/>現役時代に魅せたプレーが『サカつくRTW』でも再現。是非一度チェックしてみよう。<a href="https://ryan.onelink.me/C7cD/79aae7be" target="_blank"><div style="text-align:center;"><img src="https://image.ultra-soccer.jp/900/img/2022/sega20220427.jpg" style="max-width:100%;"></div></a></div> 2022.04.27 19:30 Wed
