レンジャーズのサポーターが、セルティックの日本代表FW古橋亨梧に対して人種差別的な行為をした疑いが上がっている。スコットランド『ザ・ヘラルド』が伝えている。レンジャーズは22日、スコティッシュ・プレミアシップ第3節でロス・カウンティとのアウェイゲームに臨んだ。問題の動画はその試合に向かうバスで撮影された。
レンジャーズのサポーターたちがかつてセルティックで活躍した横浜FCのMF中村俊輔を揶揄する曲を歌った後、つり目ポーズをしながら「みんなで亨梧をやろう」と歌っていたという。
スコットランド警察は、これまでのところ事件の報告はないとコメントしている一方で、レンジャーズの広報によると、クラブはこの件について調査を開始したとのことだ。
「レンジャーズはあらゆる形の人種差別を非難する。そのような行動をしてしまう人々は、私たちのクラブや、その大きさに関わらず私たちに寄り添った忠実なサポートを代表するものではない。現在、関係者を特定するために調査を行っている」

日本人6人目を獲得したサウサンプトン/六川亨の日本サッカー見聞録
今冬のヨーロッパの移籍マーケットは2月3日がタイムリミットだが、いまのところ日本人選手に大きな動きはない。セルティックの古橋亨梧がフランス・リーグ1部のスタッド・レンヌへ完全移籍したのは意外だったものの、“2強"のスコットランド・リーグから5大リーグへの移籍で結果を残せるか注目の集まるところだ。 プレミアリーグへの移籍が噂される久保建英だが、果たして実現するのか。ブライトンの三笘薫にはサウジアラビアのアル・ナスルが巨額の移籍金(96億円)でオファーを出したようだが、クラブはこれを拒否しただけに実現の可能性はほとんどないだろう。あとはリーグ戦での出番が少ないリバプールの遠藤航に他クラブからオファーが届くのかどうか。今年2月で32歳になるだけに、移籍に関しては微妙な年齢でもある。 そんなプレミア・リーグで注目しているのが、日章学園からサウサンプトン入りする高岡伶颯だ。2023年11月にインドネシアで開催されたU-17W杯でポーランド、アルゼンチン、セネガルとの3試合で高岡は、3戦連続となる計4ゴールをマーク。アルゼンチンには敗れたものの、途中出場だったポーランド戦とセネガル戦で日本を勝利に導いた。その後は24年4月に日本高校選抜の一員として、デュッセルドルフ国際ユース大会に出場するとチームトップタイの3ゴールをあげた。 高岡は現在、U-20日本代表の一員として2月10日に中国・深圳でスタートするAFC U-20アジアカップに参加予定でいる。グループリーグDでタイ、シリア、韓国と対戦し、準々決勝をクリアしてベスト4に進出すれば9月27日にチリで開幕するU-20W杯への出場権を獲得できる。彼のサクセスストーリーがどこまで続くのか、こちらも興味深い。 そしてサウサンプトンである。南部の古豪であり、現在は菅原由勢が所属し、昨夏には松木玖生も移籍した(現在はトルコ1部のギョズテペSKへレンタル移籍中)。高岡の移籍で(レンタルに出されなければ)、複数の日本人がプレーするプレミア・リーグのクラブとなる。彼らだけでなく、過去には李忠成(2011-2013)、吉田麻也(2012-2020)、南野拓実(2021)らも所属した。 近隣のブライトンには三笘がいるし、隣接するサウスコーストダービーの相手ポーツマスには川口能活も所属していた。資金力ではロンドンのビッグクラブや北部のリバプール、マンチェスターの2強に遠く及ばないだけに、「安くて将来性のある」Jリーガーを獲得するのが南部のクラブのトレンドになりつつあるのかもしれない。 サウサンプトンのユース出身者はアラン・シアラーやガレス・ベイルなどイングランドとウェールズを代表するストライカーも輩出している。育成型のクラブだけに、高岡の選択は賢明だと言えるだろう。 クラブは2001年8月にホームスタジアムを103年間使用したザ・デルからセント・メリーズ・スタジアムへ移転。この完成したばかりのスタジアムで、同年10月7日にトルシエ・ジャパンはナイジェリアと対戦した。試合は日本が柳沢敦と鈴木隆行のゴールで2-2と引き分けた。 真新しいスタジアムの正面ゲート上部には、クラブ最多227ゴールを決めたレジェンドFWミック・シャノン(1966-77、1972-82)の名前が冠されていて、等身大の写真パネルも飾られていた。かつて憧れた選手だけに、感慨もひとしおだった記憶がある(シャノンは現役引退後に競走馬の調教師としても成功)。 2025.01.31 23:00 Fri

スコットランドリーグが打ち切り検討? 各クラブの財政面考慮し苦渋の決断…
スコティッシュ・プレミアシップが2019-20シーズンの打ち切りを真剣に検討しているようだ。イギリス『デイリー・テレグラフ』が報じている。 現在、世界中で深刻な健康被害をもたらしている新型コロナウイルス(COVID-19)。すでに感染者数は全世界で100万人を超えており、終息の目途は全く立っていない。 スコットランドではイングランドのプレミアリーグなどと足並みを揃える形で、3月13日にスコットランドサッカー協会(SFA)の管理下にある国内のプロおよびアマチュアサッカーに関して、延期することを決定。以降、長期に渡る中断期間に入っている。 その中でスコティッシュ・プレミアシップに所属する多くのクラブは財政面に深刻なダメージを被っており、その問題を少しでも緩和するため、今月2日にシーズン打ち切りを決定したベルギー1部のジュピラー・プロ・リーグに追随する形でシーズンの打ち切りを真剣に検討しているようだ。 『テレグラフ』が伝えるところによれば、スコティッシュ・プレミアシップが完了した場合、最終順位に合わせて収益の分配が速やかに行われるため、多くのクラブが抱える財政的な不安を解消できるという。 逆に、リーグ再開時期が不透明な中、今後も非常時の対応を続けた場合、多くのクラブの資金繰りがより困難となり、来シーズン以降に大きな影響が生じる可能性が高いという。また、無観客開催での日程消化というプランに関しては様々な問題によってほぼ不可能と考えられているようだ。 また、クラブにとって重要な収入源である来シーズンのシーズンチケットの販売に関しても大きな影響が生じるという。 仮に、『テレグラフ』の報道通り、現段階でシーズンが打ち切られた場合、第30節終了時点(レンジャーズとセント・ジョンストンの1試合が未消化)での順位が最終順位として有効となり、2位以下に暫定13ポイントを付けているセルティックの優勝が支持される。 そして、レギュラーシーズンの残り3試合、上位6クラブと下位6クラブに分かれて各グループ1度ずつの総当たりで戦うスプリット方式の5試合が開催されないことになる。 現時点ではヨーロッパのコンペティションへの出場権、昇格・降格の取り扱いに関して話はまとまっていないようだが、打ち切りを決断する可能性は高いようだ。 ただ、欧州サッカー連盟(UEFA)のアレクサンデル・チェフェリン会長は先日、今季のリーグ戦を消化できずに早期終了させた場合、2020-21シーズンの欧州カップ戦出場を認めない方針を打ち出しており、スコティッシュ・プレミアシップはUEFAとの調整を含めて各所との話し合いが必要となりそうだ。 2020.04.04 17:30 Sat

CL予選で“不適切な行為”疑いのVAR担当2名が急遽変更…
ポーランド人レフェリー2人が不祥事によってチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)のビデオ・アシスタント・レフェリー(VAR)担当から急遽外れるアクシデントが発生した。『ESPN』が伝えている。 今回の問題が発生したのは、6日に開催されたCL予選3回戦1stレグのディナモ・キーウとレンジャーズの一戦だった。 ロシアのウクライナへの軍事侵攻の影響によってディナモ・キーウのホームゲームはポーランドのルブリンで代替開催となった。 その影響もあったか、今回の試合のVAR担当にはユーロ2024でもVAR担当を務めたポーランド人レフェリーのバルトシュ・フランコウスキ、アシスタントにトマシュ・ムジアルの2名が任命されていた。 しかし、試合当日になってポーランドサッカー協会(PZPN)は「ポーランドサッカー協会の審判団は、チャンピオンズリーグ予選のディナモ・キーウvsレンジャーズを担当することになっていたエクストラクラサの2人の審判の不適切な行為の報告に関連して、状況を詳細に分析する」と声明を発表し、前述の2名が急遽担当を外れることを明かした。 そして、同じポーランド人レフェリーのトマシュ・クヴィアトコフスキとパヴェル・マレツが2名に代わって、この試合を担当する形となった。 欧州サッカー連盟(UEFA)は『ESPN』の取材に対して、VAR担当交代の理由に関してコメントを控えているが、ポーランドメディアの報道ではこの不祥事は過度な飲酒による問題行為だったという。 フランコウスキ、ムジアルの2名は試合前日の深夜にルブリンの路上で道路標識を持っているところを目撃され、警察がアルコール濃度をチェックした後、6日早朝に事情聴取のために連行されていたようだ。 なお、ディナモ・キーウvsレンジャーズは1-1のドローに終わり、プレーオフ進出は来週にレンジャーズホームで行われる2ndレグの結果に委ねられる。 2024.08.07 16:00 Wed

アル・イテファクと契約解除のスティーブン・ジェラード氏…次なる職場は古巣となる可能性も?
