6日、FA女子コンチネンタルリーグカップ準決勝のアーセナルvsアストン・ビラがメドウパークで行われ、4-0で勝利したアーセナルが決勝進出を決めた。

歴代最多となる過去6度の優勝を誇るディフェンディングチャンピオンのアーセナルが、初の決勝進出を目指すアストン・ビラに力の差を見せ付けた。試合開始から1分も満たないうちに、イングランド女子代表FWアレッシア・ルッソに決定機が訪れたアーセナルは、勢いのまま9分に先制点を奪う。ノルウェー女子代表MFフリーダ・マーナムのスルーパスにスウェーデン女子代表FWスティーナ・ブラックステニウスが反応して右ポケットへ侵入すると、強烈な右足の一撃でニアを射抜いた。
さらにその2分後には、イングランド女子代表FWベス・ミードのクロスをルッソが頭で折り返し、再びブラックステニウスがネットを揺らすと、18分にマーナムがボックス手前右から鮮やかなコントロールショットを左上隅へ流し込み、アーセナルが序盤で大きなリードを奪う。

アイルランド女子代表DFケイティ・マッケイブのFKがクロスバーを直撃するなど、なおも攻勢の続くアーセナルは40分、相手のクリアが小さくなったところを見逃さず、イングランド女子代表DFロッテ・ウーベン=モイの折り返しをブラックステニウスが頭で押し込み、前半だけでハットトリックを達成した。
クロスは幾度か上がるものの、フィニッシュまで至らないアストン・ビラは、古巣対戦となったイングランド女子代表MFジョーダン・ノブスのミドルが枠を捉えるが、これが唯一の枠内シュートに。

完勝を収めたアーセナルが7度目の戴冠へ向け、2大会連続の決勝進出を果たした。

決勝の相手は、なでしこジャパンのMF長谷川唯を擁するマンチェスター・シティか、FW浜野まいかを擁するチェルシー。シティvsチェルシーは日本時間7日の28:15キックオフで行われ、国内からもでもFA Playerにて視聴可能となっている。

なお、決勝は31日にモリニュー・スタジアムで行われる。

イングランドがオーストラリアを振り切り初の決勝進出、初優勝懸けたスペイン戦へ!開催国はサム・カー復活弾も僅か及ばず【女子W杯2023】

モーガンとブロンズが6度目! W杯準優勝のイングランドが最多7名選出の女子ワールドイレブンが発表!
