試合開始からオープンな展開となるも、次第に主導権を握られたチームは多くのチャンスを作られながらも耐えきりハーフタイムへ。後半も引き続き守勢に回ると50分に失点を許したが、そこから反撃に転じると85分にPKを獲得。これをケインが冷静に決めて代表通算50ゴール目を記録すると、そのまま1-1のドローに終わった。
初戦のハンガリー代表戦で黒星を喫していたチームはこれで2戦未勝利となったが、試合後のインタビューに応じたケインは50ゴール達成の喜びを露わに。ウェイン・ルーニー氏の持つ代表歴代最多ゴール記録まであと3ゴールと迫ったことに対して、これからもチームのためゴールを決め続けたいと意気込んだ。

「僕が何をしたってあの男は…」トッテナムで主力に成長のDFスペンス、かつての指揮官コンテから受けた冷遇振り返り「謙虚になりすぎた」

「すご」「経歴の凄さを感じる」トルコキャンプ中の広島にポドルスキが登場! スキッベ監督の意外な繋がりが分かる再会が話題「改めてすごい方が監督をしているんだな」

批判も受けたドイツ代表ユニフォームに問題…ナチスの「SS」に類似との指摘を受け「4」のフォントを変更、アディダスは購入中止に

ドイツ代表史上初の解任…日本代表が引導を渡したフリック元監督は123年の歴史で初
