ボルシアMGを解任されたダニエル・ファルケ氏(46)が、新指揮官を探すセルティックと交渉を行っているようだ。ドイツ『スカイ』が報じている。

今シーズン、スコティッシュ・プレミアシップ連覇を含めシーズン3冠を成し遂げたセルティック。しかし、その偉業に導いたアンジェ・ポステコグルー監督がトッテナムに引き抜かれ、現在は後任探しに奔走中だ。

ここ最近ではマンチェスター・シティのアシスタントコーチを務めるエンツォ・マレスカ氏やレスター・シティの監督を解任された前指揮官のブレンダン・ロジャーズ氏らが有力な候補として報じられる。
そういった中、新たな候補として浮上しているのが、今シーズン限りでボルシアMGを解任されたファルケ氏だ。

ファルケ氏は、昨夏に就任したボルシアMGでは10位フィニッシュも、シーズンを通しての振るわないパフォーマンスを理由に解任の憂き目を味わった。それでも、ノリッジ・シティでは2度のプレミアリーグ昇格に導いた実績もある。
なお、現時点でセルティックとの交渉を進めている一方、同氏に対してはリーズ・ユナイテッドも招へいに関心を示しているようだ。

ボルシアMGではDF板倉滉を重用していたファルケ氏だが、FW古橋亨梧、FW前田大然、MF旗手怜央、DF岩田智輝、DF小林友希と多くの日本人選手の在籍するセルティックを指揮することになるのか…。
