チアゴ・シウバがセレソン通算100試合出場! 「夢の中でさえも、想像できなかった」

チェルシーに所属するブラジル代表DFチアゴ・シウバ(37)が、コロンビア代表戦で代表通算100試合出場を達成した。ブラジル『LANCE』が伝えている。

ブラジルは現地時間10日に行われたカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)南米予選第5節でコロンビアとアウェイで対戦し、0-0のドローで試合を終えた。

チアゴ・シウバはこの試合の後半半ばにDFエデル・ミリトンに替わって途中出場。チームは今予選10戦目にして初の取りこぼしとなったが、個人としてはきっちりクリーンシートに貢献していた。

また、この試合はチアゴ・シウバにとってセレセンでの通算100試合目となるメモリアルゲームとなった。

同試合後、百戦錬磨のセンターバックは、「もちろん、僕にとって大きな誇りであり、特別な一日となったよ。この最高の瞬間は夢の中でさえも、想像できなかったことだ。とても幸せだし、これまでのすべてに感謝しているよ。この記録が伸びていくことを願っているけど、最も重要なことはセレソンに貢献することだよ」と、偉業達成を素直に喜んだ。

2008年10月に行われたW杯南米予選のベネズエラ代表戦でデビューを飾ったチアゴ・シウバは、2010年大会から3大会連続でW杯に出場するなど、長らく最終ラインの主軸として活躍してきた。

なお、代表メンバーに継続的に選ばれるだけでも難しいサッカー王国において、通算100試合出場を達成したのは、チアゴ・シウバが通算8人目。

現役ではエースFWネイマール(114試合)、DFダニエウ・アウベス(119試合)に次ぐ3人目だ。現在の37歳という年齢を考えれば、FWロビーニョ(100試合)、GKクラウディオ・タファレル(101試合)、DFルシオ(105試合)を抜き、単独5位浮上は十分に可能と思われる。

プレミアクラブが一致団結! 南米から選手を連れ戻すためのチャーター機手配でまさかのタッグ

カカ、再婚相手の妊娠を発表! 奥さんは13歳年下の美人モデル
