セリエA昇格を果たしたヴェネツィアは26日、イタリア人指揮官エウゼビオ・ディ・フランチェスコ氏(54)を新監督に招へいしたことを発表した。契約期間は2026年6月30日までとなる。
ヴェネツィアは20日に2022年10月から指揮官を務め、3季ぶりにクラブをセリエA昇格に導いたパオロ・ヴァノーリ監督と双方合意の下で契約を解除したことを発表していた。
新監督に就任したディ・フランチェスコ氏は、これまでサッスオーロやローマ、カリアリなどで監督を歴任。直近では2023年の夏にファビオ・グロッソ前監督の後任として昇格組のフロジノーネの監督に就任。
2023-24シーズンは、序盤こそコンスタントに勝ち点を稼いでいたが、昨年12月2日のミラン戦に敗れてから不振に陥ると、そこから最終節までの26試合でわずか3勝に終わり、降格圏の18位でシーズンをフィニッシュ。チームを残留に導くことはできず、16日に退任することが発表されていた。

“昇格へ本気” 一時は経営破綻のセリエB・パレルモ、セリエAクラブからエース強奪に成功

「あまりに美しい」20年ぶりセリエA昇格、ヴェネツィアのユニフォームがイケてると絶賛され即完売
