ヴェネツィアがベン・イェデル獲得断念…母国での有罪判決が影響か

ヴェネツィアは元フランス代表FWウィサム・ベン・イェデル(34)の獲得を断念したようだ。イタリアの複数メディアが報じている。

昨シーズン限りでモナコを退団してフリーのベン・イェデルには、今冬にフィンランド代表FWヨエル・ポヒャンパロをパレルモへ売却したヴェネツィアが獲得に動いており、直近のローマ戦ではホームスタジアムでスタンド観戦している姿が目撃されていた。

一時は1年間の延長オプションが付帯する今シーズン終了までの短期契約で合意間近とも伝えられたが、イタリア『ジャンルカ・ディマルツィオ』によると、選手としての実績以外の面で懸念を抱いていたオーナーが最終的にベン・イェデル獲得を断念したとのことだ。

トゥールーズでの台頭後、セビージャでのプレーを経て2019年にモナコへ加入したベン・イェデル。以降は公式戦201試合に出場し、デリオ・オニスに次ぐクラブ歴代2位の118ゴールを記録。加入2年目からはキャプテンも務めていた。

昨シーズンは公式戦34試合で20ゴールを挙げる活躍をみせ、チームの2位フィニッシュに大きく貢献を見せたが、昨シーズン限りでクラブを退団していた。

その実績を鑑みれば、所属先は早期に決まるとみられていたが、同選手に関してはアルコール依存症に加え、飲酒運転、逮捕への抵抗、強姦、強姦未遂、性的暴行を働いた容疑で有罪判決を受けるなど、素行面に大きな問題を抱えており、フランス国内では今冬にモンペリエなどが関心を示していたものの、移籍が困難とみなされていた。

“昇格へ本気” 一時は経営破綻のセリエB・パレルモ、セリエAクラブからエース強奪に成功

「あまりに美しい」20年ぶりセリエA昇格、ヴェネツィアのユニフォームがイケてると絶賛され即完売

デザイン性が称賛浴びたヴェネツィアの新ユニフォームが発表!今年は「シュプリーム」などを手掛けるスタジオが担当

ブライトン、アイルランド代表FWコノリーがヴェネツィアでの武者修行へ

ブライトン&ホーヴ・アルビオンは14日、アイルランド代表FWアーロン・コノリー(22)がセリエBのヴェネツィアに1年間のレンタル移籍で加わることを発表した。 2016年に地元マーヴュー・ユナイテッドからブライトンの下部組織に加入したコノリーは、U-18、U-23と順調にステップアップし、2019年夏にトップチームへ昇格。同年8月31日のプレミアリーグ第4節マンチェスター・シティ戦でプレミアデビューを飾ると、10月5日に行われたプレミアリーグ第8節のトッテナム戦でプロ初ゴールを含む2ゴールを記録した。これまでトップチームでは、公式戦52試合に出場し8ゴール3アシストをマーク。ただ、今年1月には出場機会を求めてチャンピオンシップ(イングランド2部)のミドルズブラにレンタル移籍し、公式戦21試合2ゴールの数字を残していた。快足と勝負度胸を生かした個での打開や、背後への抜け出しはクラブも高く評価するところだが、パフォーマンスの一貫性、課題の決定力改善のため、新シーズンはイタリアで研鑽を積むことになる。 2022.07.15 13:41 Fri
