今回の発表によると、2022年9月以来の招集となったDFフェルラン・メンディ(レアル・マドリー)が、脛骨の負傷によって離脱。代わってMFジョルダン・ヴェレトゥ(マルセイユ)が追加招集となった。
これにより、今回の招集メンバーではDFテオ・エルナンデス(ミラン)が左サイドバックを本職とする唯一の選手となるため、当初中盤として選出されたMFエドゥアルド・カマヴィンガ(レアル・マドリー)が有事には左サイドバックに回る形になる。
なお、ユーロ2024予選のグループBにおいて2戦2勝で首位に立つフランスは、16日にポルトガルのファロでジブラルタル代表と対戦した後、続く19日にはギリシャ代表をサンドニに迎え撃つ。
