アメリカサッカー連盟(USSF)は9日、カタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)に臨むアメリカ代表メンバー26名を発表した。

アメリカは2大会ぶりに本大会に出場。グループBに入り、イングランド代表、ウェールズ代表、イラン代表と同居した。

北中米カリブ海予選では、今大会も苦しみ、3位で通過。グレッグ・バーホルター監督が率いるチームは、下馬評が高くない中で平均年齢25歳175日と若いチームとして臨むこととなる。
今回のメンバーには、FWクリスチャン・プリシッチ(チェルシー)やFWジョバンニ・レイナ(ドルトムント)、MFルカ・デ・ラ・トーレ(セルタ)、GKマット・ターナー(アーセナル)、DFセルジーニョ・デスト(ミラン)らが順当に招集されている。

アメリカは初戦でウェールズ(11/21)と、第2戦でイングランド(11/25)、最終戦でイラン(11/29)と対戦する。今回発表されたアメリカ代表メンバーは以下の通り。

女子選手の意見を参考に配慮し白パンツを中止、ナイキが女子W杯出場13カ国の新ユニフォームを発表!

なでしこも要警戒、アメリカ女子代表ボランチが後半ATに強烈弾! 杉田妃和のチームメイト

かつて日本を苦しめたアメリカ女子代表FWアレックス・モーガンが新規参入チームへ電撃移籍「スタートが待ちきれない」
