試合終了間際にもMFブルーノ・フェルナンデスがダメ押しの3点目を記録。決勝戦進出を大きく手繰り寄せる3-0の完勝となり、ユナイテッドOBのキーン氏も満足げ。イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』でヴェグホルスト加入の意義を実感したと語った。
「ヴェグホルストのユナイテッド加入は少なからず批判されていたね。だが、彼が今日見せたものこそ、クラブが彼を連れてきた理由と言える。ユナイテッドは巨人(身長197cm)を手に入れた」

同胞FWの獲得をクラブに求めたエリク・テン・ハグ監督も試合後の記者会見で「ストライカーらしさが凝縮されたゴール」と振り返った同選手の一撃。FWアントニーのシュートが相手GKに阻まれたこぼれ球を押し込んだ。
また、ヴェグホルスト自身も「心の底から幸せだ。こぼれ球を期待して走ったからこその結果だよ。ハーフタイムは気分が良かったな(笑) 素晴らしい勝利も手にしたし、来週に向けてまた頑張るよ」と晴れやかに語っている。

“ジャンピングチョップ事件”いまだ和解なし、ファン・ニステルローイが宿敵との騒動を振り返る

第4審の人種差別発言で中断のPSGvsイスタンブールBBSKが9日に延期…《CL》

8日に開催予定だったチャンピオンズリーグ(CL)グループH最終節のパリ・サンジェルマンvsイスタンブール・バシャクシェヒルが、9日に延期されたようだ。 PSGとイスタンブールBBSKの属するグループHでは、決勝トーナメント進出の可能性を残すPSG、マンチェスター・ユナイテッド、ライプツィヒが勝ち点9で並ぶ大混戦となっていた。 しかし、この大一番で前代未聞の事件が起こる。0-0で迎えた14分、この試合で第4の審判を務めていたルーマニア人審判のセバスティアン・コレスク氏が、イスタンブールBBSKのアシスタントコーチを務めるピエール・アシル・ウェボ氏に対して人種差別的な発言をしたとして試合が中断。数分の話し合いの末、両チームがロッカールームへ戻る事態となった。 フランス『RMC Sport』によれば、試合はそのまま翌日への延期が決定されたとのこと。なお、キックオフは現地時間で9日18時55分(日本時間:26時55分)となったようだ。 また、同時刻開催だったライプツィヒvsマンチェスター・ユナイテッドは、3-2でライプツィヒが勝利。この結果、当該成績でユナイテッドを上回っているPSGの決勝トーナメント進出は決定。イスタンブールBBSKに勝利すればグループ首位での突破が決まる。 2020.12.09 07:45 Wed

「絶対に謝らない」ハーランド父に復讐したロイ・キーンが“報復”タックルを否定
