アストン・ビラのイングランド代表FWマーカス・ラッシュフォードが、今シーズンの残りの試合を欠場するようだ。イギリス『BBC』が報じている。
今冬の移籍市場にマンチェスター・ユナイテッドからアストン・ビラへレンタル移籍したラッシュフォード。移籍後はここまで公式戦17試合に出場し、4ゴール6アシストを記録。3月には、その活躍が評価されイングランド代表復帰も果たした。
復調の兆しを見せていたラッシュフォードだが、26日に行われたFAカップ準決勝のクリスタル・パレス戦を欠場。クラブを率いるウナイ・エメリ監督は試合前に｢彼はハムストリングを負傷している｣と明かしていた。
今回の報道によれば、現在も検査が続いているラッシュフォードがシーズン中に復帰する可能性がないわけではないが、6月に行われるイングランド代表の試合に合わせて調整することに重点を置く可能性が高いとのこと。
なお、それ以前に復帰する場合は5月18日に行われるプレミアリーグ第37節のトッテナム戦になると予想している。

アストン・ビラがスタジアム改修をスタート、ユーロ2028の会場となり5万人収容に変貌へ
