いつの時代であっても、“最高のサッカー選手”というのはファンの間で話題になる。一番ゴールを決めた選手なのか、最もテクニックがある選手なのか、それともタイトルを一番獲っている選手なのか。見る人1人1人の好みもあり、“最高”という言葉で括るには基準がたくさんありすぎる状況だ。
そんな中、1956年にフランスのサッカー専門誌『フランス・フットボール』によって創設されたのが、世界の年間最優秀選手に送られる“バロンドール”だ。
11月29日には2021年の受賞者が発表され、パリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)のアルゼンチン代表FWリオネル・メッシが受賞した。史上最多の7度目、2位のポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウド(マンチェスター・ユナイテッド)の5回に2つ差をつけることとなった。
この選出には、多くの意見が噴出。2位に終わったバイエルンのポーランド代表FWロベルト・レヴァンドフスキがふさわしいという声が多く、事前の予想でもレヴァンドフスキが受賞するという声も多かったが、メッシへと手渡され、レヴァンドフスキは新設された「ストライカー・オブ・ザ・イヤー」を受賞することとなった。

バイエルンが背番号「5」を永久欠番に 故ベッケンバウアーの功績を称え
バイエルンは8日、背番号「5」を永久欠番とすると発表した。 これは今年1月に78歳で逝去したクラブきってのレジェンドOB、フランツ・ベッケンバウアー氏に敬意を示すもので、バイエルンの会長を務めるヘルベルト・ハイナー氏が年次総会にて明らかにした。 ベッケンバウアー氏の婦人であるハイジさん、息子のジョエルさんを招き、この発表をしたハイナー氏は総会後、ドイツ『ビルト』で経緯を説明する。 「今も我々の誰もがフランツの死にショックを受けている。スピーチでは何度も彼がいなくなるのかどれだけ寂しいか、そして何よりも彼がこのクラブをどれほど形作ってきたかを述べてきた」 「彼は選手であっただけでなく、監督であり、会長でもあったんだ。まさに偉大な人物だった。ベッケンバウアーという存在なしに今日のバイエルンも存在しなかったことだろう」 「そこでこの総会でベッケンバウアーを偲び、敬意を示すべく、このイベントを開催すると決めた」 なお、今季のバイエルンでは背番号「5」を背負う選手は不在。直近では現インテルのフランス代表DFバンジャマン・パヴァールがつけていた。 2024.12.09 12:46 Mon

将来を約束するクロップ…「私はリバプールが大好き」

元西ドイツ代表エースでハンブルガーSVのレジェンドであるゼーラー氏が85歳で他界
かつて西ドイツ代表として活躍し、ハンブルガーSVでキャリアの大半を過ごしたウーヴェ・ゼーラー氏が他界した。85歳だった。 ハンブルク出身のゼーラー氏は、地元クラブのハンブルガーSVのユース育ち。そのままファーストチームに昇格した。 1953年から1972年まで、20シーズンにわたってハンブルガーSVでプレー。580試合で490ゴールを記録し、偉大なストライカーとして名を残している。 西ドイツ代表としても72試合で43ゴールを記録。4度のワールドカップに出場し、1966年のイングランド大会では決勝でイングランドと対戦し敗れていた。W杯4大会では全て複数得点を記録しており、これは史上2人しか達成していない記録。もう1人は、同じドイツ人のFWミロスラフ・クローゼとなっている。 西ドイツ代表としてはキャプテンを務めた時期もあり、フランツ・ベッケンバウアー氏らともプレー。引退後には名誉キャプテンにも就任した。さらに1995年には古巣であるハンブルガーSVの会長に就任したが、1998年にスキャンダルの影響で関与はしていなかったものの辞任していた。 クラブ幹部のヨナス・ボルド氏は、公式サイトを通じて追悼のメッセージを送っている。 「ウーヴェ・ゼーラーは、善良な人間を特徴付ける全ての要素を兼ね備えていました」 「実直さ、忠誠心、生きる喜び、そしていつも親しみやすい人でした。彼はハンブルーがSVの典型的な例です」 「個人的には、彼の最後の誕生日を一緒に過ごしたことが特別な思い出になっています。彼は店で話をし、彼にとってのハンブルガーSVについて聞けば、私にヒントといくつかの格言をくれました」 「我々は彼のことを決して忘れることなく、ずっと大切にしていきます。今、我々は彼の家族に思いを寄せ、心から哀悼の意を表します」 2022.07.22 10:45 Fri

日本代表と対戦するドイツ代表が発表! 三笘薫の同僚MFグロスが32歳で初招集、ギュンドアンやサネらは招集【国際親善試合】

19歳の至宝ヴィルツが憧れるクラブとは? レバークーゼンは安売り許さず?

アディダスがノイアーの代表100キャップを記念した特別なキーパーグローブ「プレデター」をリリース!ラトビア戦で着用

マテウスが5度目の離婚…結婚時は「最後の妻になることを願う」と語るも叶わず
