ユベントスに所属するコロンビア代表MFフアン・クアドラード(31)がコメントした。本来攻撃的なポジションが本職のクアドラード。今季から指揮を執るマウリツィオ・サッリ監督の下で、サイドバックやウィングバックなどをこなせるユーティリティプレーヤーとしての新境地を開拓してみせ、ここまで公式戦32試合2得点4アシストの成績を残している。

そんなクアドラードは昨年11月、ユベントスとの契約を2022年夏まで延長。しかし、母国に帰還する選択肢も持ち得ているという。『ESPN』のインタビューで、今後のキャリアについて語り、代表監督のカルロス・ケイロス氏との信頼関係も口にした。

「(キャリアをスタートさせた当時のクラブである母国の)インデペンディエンテ・メデジン復帰は考えた。でも、いずれ実現するだろうね」
「代表監督と話をしてから自信が沸いたよ。どこで使うのかを教えてくれた。ポジションに関係なく、常にベストを尽くす。誰もが僕の特長をわかっている。彼もそうさ」

「彼が僕に求めていることなら、僕は喜んでやる。いつだって国のためにベストを尽くす所存だ」
また、新型コロナウイルス感染拡大による死者数がついに中国を上回ったイタリアでの生活についても触れ、同僚のイタリア代表DFダニエレ・ルガーニやフランス代表MFブレーズ・マテュイディといった感染者についても言及。人々に対して、注意を促した。

「僕らは冷静だ。チームメイトのルガーニやマテュイディの調子も政府の指示に従っているから、とても良い。人々はこの状況を軽視しちゃダメだ。ここイタリアはすごく難しい状況だからね。権威者の発言に注意を払わないと」

クアドラード、早世したユーベOBへの追悼投稿に不適切な反応…謝罪に追い込まれる

人種差別受けたルカクがまさかの退場、不可解判定に「人種差別、クソくらえ」、マネジメント会社も声明

日本人が目指すべきCB像、“希少なバロンドーラー“ファビオ・カンナバーロ

バイエルンやPSGら強豪4クラブ、クリスタル・パレスのジェシー・デリー17歳に熱視線…U-18チームでは27戦20発

クリスタル・パレスのU-19イングランド代表MFジェシー・デリー(17)に、欧州のトップクラブが熱視線を送っているという。 ジェシー・デリーは、日本代表MF鎌田大地が所属するC・パレスのU-18チームに登録されるワイドアタッカーまたはセンターフォワード。 世代別イングランド代表の常連で、これまでトップチーム帯同はないが、昨秋からはU-18チームに籍を残しつつ、軸足がU-21チームへ。昨年12月までにU-18で公式戦27試合20得点を叩き出し、U-21に引き上げられた格好だ。 そんなジェシー・デリーに対し、イギリス『フットボール・インサイダー』によると、バイエルン、ユベントス、アトレティコ・マドリー、パリ・サンジェルマン(PSG)が熱視線。実際にスカウトをイギリスへ派遣しているという。 まだプロ契約を締結していないなか、同紙いわく「C・パレスU-21は選手層が非常に厚い」とのこと。ジェシー・デリーがトップチームでプレーするメドは立たず、上述のクラブらは獲得のチャンスを小さくないと睨んでいるそうだ。 2025.02.11 16:15 Tue
