スイス代表のMFグラニト・ジャカが、史上初のベスト8進出を喜んだ。スイスサッカー連盟(SFV)が伝えた。

スイスは28日、ユーロ2020のラウンド16でフランス代表と対戦。“死の組”と言われたグループFを首位で通過したフランスに対し、グループAを3位で通過したスイスの一戦は、フランスが有利と見られていた。

戦前の予想とは裏腹に、15分にハリス・セフェロビッチのゴールでスイスが先制する展開に。しかし、フランスは後半にカリム・ベンゼマが2ゴールを決めると、ポール・ポグバのゴールで3-1と逆転。このままフランスが勝利すると思われた。

しかし、81分にセフェロビッチの2点目で1点差とすると、90分にはマリオ・ガブラノビッチがゴールを奪い、土壇場で同点に。延長戦でも決着が付かず、PK戦にもつれ込むと、スイスが5人連続で成功したのに対し、フランスはキリアン・ムバッペが失敗。スイスがベスト8進出を決めた。

この試合でキャプテンとしてチームを牽引し、スター・オブ・ザ・マッチにも選ばれたジャカ。ワールドカップ王者を倒し、スイスとして初のユーロ8強入りを喜んだ。

ガブリエウがスポルティング戦で相手エースのゴールセレブレーション拝借…その意図とは?

26年ぶりセリエA昇格のクレモネーゼ、元U-20スイス代表MFを獲得!

セリエAのクレモネーゼは22日、ファマリカンから元U-20スイス代表MFシャルル・ピッケル(25)を完全移籍で獲得したと発表した。コンゴ民主共和国にルーツをもつピッケル。豊富な運動量を武器に相手の攻撃を摘み取り、アフリカ系選手らしい強靭なフィジカルや跳躍力も魅力の守備的セントラルハーフだ。これまでスイスのA代表歴こそないものの、U-20ではキャプテンマークを託された経験もあるなど、将来を嘱望されていた。クラブキャリアでは名門バーゼルの下部組織出身。ファーストチーム昇格を逃すと、FCシャフハウゼンやヌーシャテル・ザマックスなどを経て、2019年夏に初の海外挑戦でグルノーブルへと移籍した。グルノーブルで2シーズンにわたって主力としてプレーすると、昨夏にはプリメイラ・リーガのファマリカンへと加入。ここでも公式戦通算36試合に出場するなど不動の存在として活躍し、とうとう欧州5大リーグの一角であるセリエAへの挑戦権を掴み取った。なお、ポルトガル『A Bola』によると、ピッケルの移籍金は500万ユーロ(約6億9000万円)とのことだ。 2022.07.22 20:03 Fri
