ユベントスがアメリカ代表MFウェストン・マッケニー(26)との契約延長を計画しているようだ。
マッケニーは2021年夏にシャルケから加入すると、初年度から主力の一人に定着。しかし、翌シーズンはクラブが財政難に陥った影響もあり、冬の移籍市場でリーズ・ユナイテッドにレンタル移籍となった。
リーズから復帰した昨夏には、マッシミリアーノ・アッレグリ前監督の構想から外れることに。ところが、MFポール・ポグバのドーピング違反やMFニコロ・ファジョーリの違法賭博行為が発覚してそれぞれ長期出場停止処分を受けたこともあり、急遽チームに戻されると昨シーズンは公式戦39試合に出場した。
それでも、今夏にチアゴ・モッタ監督が就任するとまたもや構想外の扱いに。アストン・ビラや母国復帰などさまざまな噂が流れたが結局残留となり、8月に2026年夏までの契約更新が発表された。
こうした経緯を経て迎えた今シーズンも、やはり主力としてプレー。ここまでセリエAで11試合2ゴール2アシスト、チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)5試合2ゴール、コッパ・イタリア1試合出場と上々の成績を残している。
交渉はまだこれからの段階となっており、アメリカ代表MFがどのような決断を下すかも含めて進展が注目される。

負傷者続出のユベントス…、カイオ・ジョルジが膝蓋腱の手術で長期離脱へ

ニューカッスルからレンタル中のケリーがユベントスに完全移籍へ!出場基準を満たし買い取り義務が発動
