失意のシーズンとなりつつあるユベントスでは、スポーツ・ディレクター(SD)であるクリスティアン・ジュントリ氏への批判も強まっているようだ。『フットボール・イタリア』が伝えている。

昨夏にチアゴ・モッタ監督をボローニャから迎えたユベントスは、チームの刷新に着手。夏と冬の移籍市場でディーン・ハイセン、フェデリコ・キエーザ、ニコロ・ファジョーリ、ダニーロらがチームを去り、代わってトゥン・コープマイネルス、ニコラス・ゴンサレス、レナト・ヴェイガ、ランダル・コロ・ムアニら多くの選手を獲得している。

しかし、モッタ監督のチームは期待されていたような結果を残せず。チャンピオンズリーグ(CL)はPSVにプレーオフで敗れてノックアウトステージ進出を逃しており、セリエAでも黒星こそ少ないものの勝ち切れない試合が多く見られた中で、直近では2試合続けての大敗を喫するなど厳しい状況にあった。
これを受けて、クラブはモッタ監督に早くも見切りをつけ、23日に解任を発表。一部報道では、ジュントリ氏ら上層部によるモッタ監督の態度への疑問や、ロッカールームでの求心力低下が解任理由の一つと報じている。

とはいえ、ファンやメディアは今季の迷走の原因がモッタ監督一人にあるとは考えていない模様。イタリア『ガゼッタ・デッロ・スポルト』は「ジュントリ氏による一連の誤った決断が最終的にあらゆる面での失敗につながった。彼は解決策を必死に模索している」と報じ、ジュントリ氏にも大きな責任があるとしている。
その一例として挙げられるのが、移籍市場での振る舞い。昨夏に1500万ユーロ(約24億円)でボーンマスに手放したハイセンは、今やプレミアリーグの強豪やレアル・マドリーが関心を示すまでの存在に成長しており、市場価値もはね上がっている。

一方で、ジュントリ氏が獲得したコープマイネルスやニコラス・ゴンサレスらは真価を発揮できず。コロ・ムアニこそ結果を残しているが、こうした編成の失敗についてはジュントリ氏の責任が大きいとの見方もある。

クラブOBのマッシモ・マウロ氏からも『ガゼッタ・デッロ・スポルト』にて「権力を持ちすぎた」と指摘されるジュントリ氏。チームはモッタ監督の後任として迎えたイゴール・トゥドール監督の下でトップ4フィニッシュを目指すが、仮に目標達成とならなければSDへの批判は免れないだろう。

ファジョーリが今冬イングランド行き? 現時点でスパーズがポールポジションか

バレンシア、ビッグクラブが関心の逸材DFガシオロフスキと2027年まで契約延長

バレンシアは26日、U-19スペイン代表DFヤレク・ガシオロフスキ(20)との契約を2027年6月30日まで延長したことを発表した。 ポーランド人の父親とスペイン人の母親を持ちスペインで生まれ育ったガシオロフスキは、192cmの体躯を誇る左利きのDF。7歳でバレンシアのカンテラに加入し、リザーブチームのバレンシアBでのプレーを経て2023年10月に行われたマジョルカ戦でトップチームデビュー。 これまでトップチームでは、公式戦34試合に出場しており、今季もラ・リーガ14試合を含む公式戦18試合に出場している。また、U-19スペイン代表の主力としても活躍しており、昨夏に行われたU-19欧州選手権では優勝に大きく貢献した。 現在はセンターバックを主戦場としているが、元々はサイドバックでプレーしていたこともあり、バレンシアのトップチームではセンターバック、左サイドバックの両方でプレーしている。恵まれた体躯通りの空中戦の強さに加え、サイズを感じさせないスピードを兼備するフィジカルアスリートで、出足鋭いアグレッシブな対人守備を持ち味とする。 判断や精度という部分に伸びしろを残すが、後方からの配球や積極果敢なドライブなど攻撃に関与する意識も高い現代型のDF。セットプレー時はターゲットマンとしても有能だが、ロングスローも武器としている。 以前にはアーセナルやトッテナム、ユベントス、インテルといったビッグクラブからの関心が報じられていたガシオロフスキだが、かねてより残留の意向を示しており、自身を育ててくれたクラブとの新契約を決断した。 2025.02.27 12:30 Thu
