「決勝進出に相応しかった」日本を語るスペインMFソレール、それでも「決勝に出られるのはどちらか1つ」
U-24スペイン代表のMFカルロス・ソレールが、U-24日本代表戦を振り返った。スペイン『マルカ』が伝えた。 3日、東京オリンピックの男子サッカー準決勝が行われ、スペインは日本と対戦。互いに決勝進出を目指して激闘が繰り広げられた。 試合はスペインがボールを終始握り、主導権を握る中、日本の守備陣が粘りを見せ続け、得点を許さない。 90分を終えてゴールレスドロー。延長前半もゴールが生まれず、スペインが押し込む展開は変わらないものの、日本の守備も安定感を持ったまま、120分が終了すると思われた。 しかし、迎えた115分にマルコ・アセンシオがゴール。そのまま1-0でスペインが勝利した。 ソレールは試合を振り返り、日本も素晴らしかったと語った。 「これはとても競争が激しいトーナメントであり、勝つことはとても難しい。ブラジルは今日PK戦までいった。このような試合は多くを消耗する試合だ」 「僕たちは総合的には日本よりも優れていた。でも、彼らはとてもアクティブな選手ばかりで、決勝進出に相応しかった。ただ、決勝に出られるのはどちらか1つだけだ」 その日本については既に大会前に戦ったことで良くわかっていたと語った。 「結果として、彼らは既に僕たちが知っていたチームであり、とても優れた攻撃力を持っている。そしていつでも組織的なディフェンスを行うチームだ。最後はアセンシオの見事なプレーが勝負を決めたね」 決勝はU-24ブラジル代表との一戦。金メダルを獲得できるかがかかっている。ソレールはまずは休み、備えたいと語った。 「誰もがプレーしたいとても特別な試合だ。とても激しい試合であり、2つの延長戦を経て、とても激しいトーナメントになっている。まずは休みたい。ゆっくり休んで、素晴らしい試合にしよう」 2021.08.04 10:50 Wed

アストン・ビラがスタジアム改修をスタート、ユーロ2028の会場となり5万人収容に変貌へ
