北中米ワールドカップ(W杯)南米予選の第11節が14日に行われ、首位アルゼンチン代表が逆転負けだ。2位コロンビア代表に3ポイント差をつけ、首位を走るアルゼンチンは6位パラグアイ代表のホームに乗り込み、主将リオネル・メッシらがスタートから出場。11分にエンソ・フェルナンデスの浮き球パスに抜け出したラウタロ・マルティネスがボックス左から左足でファーにねじ込み、先手を奪う。

だが、パラグアイも19分にグスタボ・ベラスケスが右から上げたクロスにアントニオ・サナブリアが右足バイシクル。豪快な一撃で追いつくと、敵陣左でFKのチャンスを獲得した47分にオマル・アルデレーテがヘディング弾をゴール左に決め、逆転した。アルゼンチンは交代などの手を打つが、1-2で敗れた。
また、4位ブラジル代表は3連勝を目指して8位ベネズエラ代表とのアウェイ戦。ロドリゴ・ゴエスやエデル・ミリトンの負傷辞退もあったが、43分にバイタルエリア左でFKのチャンスを掴むと、“新10番”ハフィーニャが右ポストの内側に当てながらも直接決め、まずは一歩前に出る。

そのまま後半に入ったブラジルだが、早々にテラスコ・セゴビアの代表初ゴールで振り出しに戻されるなか、59分のロングボールからヴィニシウス・ジュニオールがボックス左で相手GKラファエル・ロモと交錯し、PKチャンス。だが、自ら名乗りのヴィニシウスが相手GKに読まれ、不意にし、1-1で引き分けた。
そして、5位エクアドル代表は7位ボリビア代表とのホーム戦に臨み、エネル・バレンシアのPK弾を皮切りにゴンサロ・プラタの2ゴール、アラン・ミンダのダメ押し弾で4-0と圧勝している。

アルゼンチンは3試合ぶり黒星で今予選3敗目で、ブラジルは3連勝ならず。エクアドルは4試合無敗としている。

メッシ 大好きなマテ茶のストローは7万円超えの特別仕様

過去3度の噛み付きで問題起こしたスアレスは38歳でも治らず? ただその相手はまさかのチームメイト…

1999年の歴史的珍事“1試合でPK3本失敗”…当事者の名手マルティン・パレルモが回想「どんなに大きいケガよりもつらい」

元アルゼンチン代表FWのマルティン・パレルモ氏が、スペイン『Relevo』で現役時代の「1試合でPKを3本失敗」を振り返った。 かつてカルト的人気を誇ったアルゼンチン産ストライカー、“エル・ロコ(奇人)”パレルモ。名門ボカ・ジュニアーズのスーパーエースとして南米制覇2回、日本でのトヨタカップ2000優勝&MVPなど、サッカー界の一時代を彩った。 その一方、A代表はガブリエル・バティストゥータ時代とエルナン・クレスポ時代に被り、通算15キャップ止まり。また、欧州ではスペインで3年間プレーも目立った活躍なし。 それでも、故ディエゴ・マラドーナ氏に気に入られ、同氏のもとで36歳にして2010年南アフリカW杯を経験。51歳となった現在はパラグアイ1部・オリンピアで監督を務めている。 そんなパレルモ氏と言えば、伝説の「1試合でPKを3本失敗」。1999年7月4日、コパ・アメリカ1999のアルゼンチン代表vsコロンビア代表でパレルモ氏はPKを3本蹴って3本失敗し、チームは0-3で敗れることとなった。 当時を振り返ったパレルモ氏は「ピッチに立っているのがしんどくて仕方なかった」と話す。 「本当につらかった…(笑) 3本外した時点で試合はまだ続いていたし、私もピッチに立っていたわけだからね。その1日を一刻も早く終わらせるべく、すぐにでもロッカールームへ下がりたかった気持ちを覚えているよ。あの経験はどんなに大きいケガよりもつらい経験だ」 同大会ではアルゼンチン代表の“9番”を任され、コロンビア戦もPKを3本外しながらフル出場を強いられたパレルモ氏。試合後、同部屋のチームメイト2人が寄り添ってくれたそうだ。 「(宿泊先で)同部屋がディエゴ・シメオネ、グスタボ・ロペスでね。2人はその日の試合後、部屋でひと言も話さなかったよ。次の試合まで私のメンタルは沈んでいたんだが、あの夜の沈黙の空間に、私は救われたのかもしれない」 「そして翌朝、シメオネがひと言『前に進もう』と僕に言ったんだ。彼は空気を察して無言でもエネルギーを発することができる男だね」 同僚に救われたというパレルモ氏は、3日後のウルグアイ代表戦でゴールを決め、アルゼンチン代表のグループステージ突破に貢献。また、コロンビア戦後はマラドーナ氏からも励ましの電話があったのだという。 「ディエゴは一瞬一瞬を大切にする人間だったよ…彼は私に『またPKがあれば恐れず蹴りに行け』『誰もがPKを蹴る勇気を持つわけじゃないが、キミにはあるだろう』と言ってくれた」 「彼は私が大きなケガをしたとき、私の息子が亡くなったとき…必ず病院に来てくれた。私が活躍したときではなく、寂しくて誰かの支えを必要としたとき、必ずディエゴ・マラドーナがそばにいてくれたよ」 2025.03.15 21:17 Sat

指揮官出場停止のアルゼンチン代表、コーチのアイマール氏がペルー戦で指揮
