ブンデスリーガ最終節が週末にドイツ各所で行われた。
今シーズンのブンデスリーガには、日本代表で活躍するボルシアMGのDF板倉滉、シュツットガルトのDF伊藤洋輝、フライブルクのMF堂安律、ボーフムFW浅野拓磨に加え、フランクフルトでクラブ史上最年長出場記録を保持するDF長谷部誠が在籍している。
今シーズンも多くの選手が活躍する中、最終節では板倉、伊藤、堂安が先発出場、長谷部、浅野、福田師王、原口元気が途中出場している。
今季限りでの引退を表明している長谷部がベンチスタートとなったフランクフルトは、ホームでRBライプツィヒと対戦。スコアが動いたのは41分、ドリブルでボックス左から侵入したシャビ・シモンズがゲッツェに倒され、ライプツィヒがPKを獲得。このPKをシャビ・シモンズ自身がゴール中央に決めた。
先制を許したフランクフルトは、後半開始早々に再び失点する。46分、自陣でのボール奪取からカウンターを狙うと、ザイヴァルトの縦パスをバイタルエリア中央で受けたシェシュコが右足一閃。強烈なミドルシュートがゴール左に突き刺さった。

フランクフルト、メインスポンサーのIndeedと2026年まで契約延長
