アトレティコがギャラガー獲得を公式発表…一時破談もマドリード行きが決定

アトレティコ・マドリーのポルトガル代表FWジョアン・フェリックスが同クラブで着用する背番号7の経緯を明かした。スペイン『マルカ』が伝えた。 昨夏、バルセロナへ旅立ったフランス代表FWアントワーヌ・グリーズマンの後釜として、ベンフィカからアトレティコ史上最高額の移籍金で加入したフェリックス。その移籍の経緯もあって前エースが背負っていた背番号7をそのまま受け継ぐことになった。 グリーズマンと同様にセカンドストライカーを主戦場とし、その端正な顔立ちも相まってクラブ関係者やサポーターも、異論は聞こえてこなかったが、最もしっくりきていないのはフェリックス自身のようだ。 フェリックスは『Eleven Sports』のインタビューで、自身が加入時に希望した背番号がベンフィカ時代に背負っていた「79」だったことを明かした。 「本当は79番を付けたかったけど、クラブは僕をそこ(Bチーム)に所属させたくなかったんだ(笑)」 「その次は(FWアンヘル・コレア着用の)10番が良かったけど、すでに使われていたから7番に落ち着いたんだ」 フェリックスが在籍したポルトガルリーグやセリエAなどのリーグは1番から99番の間であれば、クラブが定める永久欠番などを除き自由に番号が選択できる。 しかし、ラ・リーガの規定ではトップチーム登録の選手は1番から25番の背番号を着用することが義務付けられており、リザーブチームやユースチーム登録にならない限り、それ以上大きな番号を背負うことができない。 79番と10番を着用するフェリックスも見たい気もするが、今ではすっかりと7番のイメージが定着している。フェリックス本人は本意ではないかもしれないが、グリーズマンの真の後継者としてワンダ・メトロポリターノのピッチで躍動する背番号7を多くのアトレティコファンが今後も見ていたいと思っているはずだ。 2020.02.09 20:40 Sun
