「本当にクレイジーだった」監督解任を語るドイツ代表FWミュラー、6試合ぶり勝利も「まだまだ道のりは長いが解放された」と安堵

ドイツ代表FWトーマス・ミュラーが、フランス代表戦の勝利を振り返った。ドイツ『ビルト』が伝えた。

9日に日本代表と対戦し、1-4という惨敗に終わったドイツ。2023年に入り、1勝しかあげておらず、国際親善試合で3連敗を喫した中、日本戦の翌日にハンジ・フリック監督を解任していた。暫定的にスポーツ・ディレクター(SD)のルディ・フェラー氏が指揮を執り臨んだ12日のフランス戦では、開始4分にミュラーがゴールすると、こう着状態のまま進むも87分にレロイ・サネが追加点。その後、アントワーヌ・グリーズマンにPKを決められるも2-1で勝利。連敗を止めると共に、今年3月のペルー代表戦以来6試合ぶりの勝利となった。

試合後、先制ゴールを決めたミュラーがインタビューに応じ、まずは解任されたフリック監督たちへの想いを語った。

「まず、ハンジと彼のコーチングスタッフに感謝したい。この負の連鎖に耐えるのは、本当に簡単ではなかったし、僕たち自身に責任がある」

「この週の間に別れを告げるというのは、本当にクレイジーな状況ではあったけど、この3日間もそうだった」

また、試合を振り返り、中2日で調整したスタッフ陣に感謝。ハードワークができたが、まだまだこれからだと気を引き締めた。

「僕たちが多くの準備をしなければならないことは明らかだった。僕たちは労働倫理を貫かなければならないと思っていた」

「これほどの短期間でどのように取り組んだのか。ルディ・フェラー、ハンネス・ヴォルフ、サンドロ・ワグナーに称賛の意を示したい」
