相手選手のお尻を踏みつけ一発退場となったイングランド女子代表FWローレン・ジェームズ(チェルシー)の出場停止処分が確定した。

イギリス『BBC』によれば、国際サッカー連盟(FIFA)は10日、ジェームズへの出場停止処分を発表。2試合の出場停止処分を受けることとなった。

ジェームズは、7日に行われたオーストラリア&ニュージーランド女子ワールドカップ(W杯)のラウンド16のナイジェリア女子代表戦に先発出場した。
試合が進む中、ゴールレスで迎えた84分に執拗なマークを受けていたミシェル・アロジーともつれて倒れ込むことに。起き上がる際、ジェームズはアロジーのお尻を踏みつけ、主審はイエローカードを提示した。

しかし、VARのチェックが入り、オンフィールド・レビューも実施。これにより、レッドカードの判定と変わり、一発退場となっていた。
チームはPK戦の末に勝利してベスト8に進出。ジェームズは2試合に出場停止が増えたことで、準々決勝と準決勝が出場停止に。決勝か3位決定戦には出場が可能となった。

ジェームズはグループステージで3ゴール3アシストとチームを牽引。しかし、自身の軽率なプレーで台無しにしてしまったと話題になっていた。

イングランドは12日にコロンビア女子代表と準々決勝を戦う。

北中米W杯の欧州予選組み合わせ決定! 12カ国+POの4カ国が出場権獲得、来年3月からスタート【2026年北中米W杯欧州予選】

フランスW杯の戦犯が…ベッカム史上最高のFKから20年「特別な瞬間だった」

これがプロ生活21年の代償か、元イングランド代表GKグリーンの小指は外側に変形

イングランド代表の選手に歴代選手数が書かれた“レガシーキャップ”をプレゼント!最新は1262番
