明治安田生命J1リーグ第19節、ヴィッセル神戸vs北海道コンサドーレ札幌が1日にノエビアスタジアム神戸で催され、1-1の引き分けに終わった。
神戸は裏への長いボールとセカンドボール争いで後手を踏み、序盤は守備の時を過ごす。その中でショートカウンターや相手のコントロールミスからジェアン・パトリッキに絶好機が到来。だが、GK菅野孝憲に上回られる。
注目のイニエスタがボールを持つ場面も少なく、あっても受け手となる選手を札幌がしっかりと捕まえたため、思うようにパスがつながらない。
すると26分、ピッチを広く使って右サイドまで展開すると、金子拓郎が左足で巻いたクロスを供給。GK前川黛也がはじいたこぼれ球をスパチョークが拾って蹴り込み、札幌が試合を動かした。
31分にも幅を使った攻撃からルーカス・フェルナンデスがフィニッシュと、札幌はさらに攻勢を掛ける。神戸もようやくイニエスタが高い位置で攻撃に絡み、36分に汰木康也とのワンツーを経て自らシュート。42分には武藤嘉紀がためを作ってスルーパスを送り、左のハイサイドを取った汰木の折り返しにパトリッキが触れば1点という場面を作る。
ビハインドの神戸はハーフタイムに汰木から大迫勇也へスイッチ。前線の収めどころを作ると、51分にはFKから武藤、パトリッキとゴール前でのシュートシーンを迎える。札幌も守備陣が体を張ったブロックでこれをしのぐと、2分後には浅野が鮮やかな切り返しで初瀬亮をかわし、ゴール前で右足を振る。
プレーが切れた後には直前のシーンでVARからの進言があり、本多勇喜が浅野のシュートをブロックした際、ディフレクション後に手に当たった事例でオンフィールドレビューが行われたが、カミス・モハメド・アルマッリ主審はノーハンドの判定を下した。

稀代のマエストロ、イニエスタが愛する家族と共に引退イベント実施…「この涙は悲しみではなく、感動と誇りの涙です…」

まるで日本人!? イニエスタファミリー、桜が恋しくなったインスタ投稿が話題「いつでも歓迎」「忘れないでいてくれてありがとう」

「日本に住んで3年になりますが」イニエスタの妻が日本生活での驚きを打ち明ける「いまだに驚いています」
