積雪で延期となっていた21日のサンフレッチェ広島レジーナ戦は逆転で敗れたものの、ウインターブレイク後に固定した[4-4-2]がフィットし、主導権を握る試合の増えた新潟L。中3日で迎える今節は、前節途中交代となった道上彩花がメンバー外となり、上尾野辺めぐみと園田瑞貴が2トップを組んだ。

4連敗中のEL埼玉は、これまでの[3-5-2]から[4-1-4-1]へシステム変更。古巣対戦となる田邊友恵監督はサイドハーフの右に祐村ひかる、左に吉田莉胡を起用し、今季リーグ戦初先発となる西川明花を最前線に。3試合無得点脱却と連敗ストップを狙った。

序盤は新潟Lが相手陣内でゲームを進め、上尾野辺をはじめ、今節は左サイドハーフに入った滝川結女や、第3節以来のスタメンで右に入った森中陽菜がミドル攻勢。主導権を握った。

効果的な攻撃の形を作れなかったEL埼玉だったが、ワンプレーを契機に試合を動かす。ボックス内への浮き球のバウンドが偶発的ながらも新潟・三浦紗津紀の手に当たり、PKを獲得すると、西川がGK平尾知佳の逆を突いて左隅に流し込み、22分に先制点を奪取。2分後には右サイド裏のスペースを祐村が突いて折り返すと、ファーの吉田が頭で落として再び西川がボレーでネットを揺らした。

63分には前線3人が絡んで最後は瀬戸口梢。祐村が相手を背にしてのチップキックという、技ありプレーでマーカーをはがすと、クロスを西川が落として吉田がつなぎ、エルフェンのかじ取り役がボックス手前右から左足でWEリーグ初ゴールを挙げた。

新潟は180cmの長身DF浦川璃子をトップで起用し、パワープレーを仕掛けるも、ゴールを奪うことはできず。3-0でEL埼玉が5試合ぶりの勝利を手にした。

前節は互いにリーグ戦久しぶりの白星をつかんだ両チーム、9位のAC長野パルセイロ・レディースと10位のジェフユナイテッド市原・千葉レディースの一戦はドローに終わった。

AC長野は5試合ぶり、千葉Lは7試合ぶりとなる今季2勝目をつかんだ前節。AC長野は同じ11人を、千葉Lもスタメン変更を1人にとどめて連勝を狙ったが、互いに最後までゴールが遠く、0-0のままタイムアップを迎えている。

「いつみてもかわいい」「最強のサポーター」WEリーグ制覇の浦和L、遠藤優は翌日に“サポーター”として埼スタ降臨「終了間際の猛攻に心臓バクバク!」
