現役時代にアーセナルやバルセロナなどで活躍したアンリ氏は、現役引退後にモントリオール・インパクトとモナコの監督を歴任。現在は、ベルギー代表でロベルト・マルティネス監督のアシスタントを務める傍ら、イギリス『スカイ・スポーツ』やフランス『アマゾン・プライム』でコメンテーターを務めている。
そのアンリ氏は、先日にアーセナル時代の同僚である元スペイン代表MFセスク・ファブレガスが加入したことで話題を集めたコモの少数株主として、クラブ運営に関わることになった。
1907年に創設されたコモは、2019年にインドネシアの『Djarum Group』が買収。2021年2月からはチェルシーのレジェンドとして知られる元イングランド代表FWのデニス・ワイズ氏がCEOを務めている。
そして、アンリ氏は自身も少数の株式を保有する後輩セスクからのラブコールも影響したか、ユベントス時代以来となるカルチョとの関係を再開することになった。
