ポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウドが、代表チームを離脱してマンチェスター・ユナイテッドに早期合流することになった。『ESPN』が伝えている。

今夏、ユベントスからユナイテッドに12年ぶりの電撃復帰を果たして大きな話題を呼んだC・ロナウド。ポルトガル代表として臨んだ1日のカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)欧州予選グループA第4節、アイルランド代表戦では試合終盤に2ゴールを挙げる活躍をみせ、チームの劇的逆転勝利に貢献した。

さらに、同試合では元イラン代表FWアリ・ダエイと並んでいた代表通算得点数を111ゴールに更新し、世界記録を樹立した。
そのC・ロナウドは7日にW杯欧州予選のアゼルバイジャン代表戦を控えているが、アイルランド戦で2点目を決めた際のゴールセレブレーションでユニフォームを脱いだことでイエローカードをもらっており、アゼルバイジャン戦は累積警告により出場停止となる。

また、4日にはハンガリーでカタール代表との国際親善試合も予定されているが、フェルナンド・サントス監督とC・ロナウドは前述の世界記録を樹立したことを受け、カタール戦を欠場することで合意。これによって、同選手は予定より6日早く代表チームを去り、ユナイテッドに合流することになった。
この早期合流はユナイテッドを率いるオーレ・グンナー・スールシャール監督にとって追い風となり、11日にホームで行われるプレミアリーグ第4節のニューカッスル戦でのスタメン起用の可能性が有力となった。

音声データ流出のペレス会長、C・ロナウドとモウリーニョを酷評「2人とも異常者」

ユベントス、守護神シュチェスニーとまたも契約延長へ…給与体系改善が目的

21世紀の出場試合数ランキング発表! 首位は1145試合のC・ロナウド、トップ10に日本人選手がランクイン

神々しい局部、C・ロナウド像の下半身が輝きを放つ「全員が爆笑した」

「高価な食べ物はない」ギネス記録樹立、C・ロナウドのあの肉体の秘訣を専属シェフが明かす

1年半無所属も…40歳リカルド・クアレスマが“最後の望み”「僕のキャリアはまだ終わってない」
