アル・ナスルのポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウドの足の爪に注目が集まっている。イギリス『SPORTBIBLE』が伝えている。
先日自身のインスタグラムを更新し、趣味のサウナに入っているところを投稿したC・ロナウド。熱心なファンは、その筋骨隆々な肉体だけでなく、足の指を爪が黒く塗られていることに気が付いた。
C・ロナウドが足の爪を黒く塗るのはこれが初めてではなく、以前UFC世界ヘビー級王者のフランシス・ガヌーとの2ショットが話題になった時も、その爪に注目が集まっていた。
『SPORTBIBLE』によると、ドイツ『ビルト』の情報などをもとに、C・ロナウドが爪を黒く塗る理由が判明したという。
C・ロナウドに限らず、一部のアスリートは爪を菌やバクテリアから防ぐために、爪を塗ったり保護層で覆ったりするとのこと。多くのトップアスリートが行っており、元ボクシングヘビー級統一王者のマイク・タイソンもやっていたという。また、元UFCヘビー級王者のアンドレイ・アルロフスキーも同様にしていたようだ。
マニキュアの層が足の爪を覆うことで、試合中に爪が傷つく危険性を最小限に抑えることができるという。それは、C・ロナウドの「プロ意識の表れ」でもあると伝えている。
意外なところから注目を集めた話題だったが、こうした細かいこだわりや体への投資が、C・ロナウドが長く活躍する理由の1つのかもしれない。

マンチェスター・ユナイテッドのポルトガル代表FWクリスティアーノ・ロナウドの銅像は、人々に親しまれていることが証明されたようだ。
今シーズン、ユベントスからユナイテッドへと電撃復帰したC・ロナウド。ポルトガル代表としても昨年9月に代表通算ゴール数を更新して世界記録を塗り替え、数字も「115」まで伸ばしている。
名実ともに世界を代表するストライカーは、2014年に故郷ポルトガルのマデイラ島・フンシャルに銅像が建立された。観光名所にもなっている銅像だが、あるファンはこの像の経年による変化が気になったようだ。
銅像は台座の上に建てられており、訪れる人々の手の高さとC・ロナウドの股間部分が合致。必然的に、像に触れようと自然に手を伸ばせば、C・ロナウドの下半身をなでることになってしまう。
その結果、何年にもわたって大勢の観光客に晒された像の局部は、手の油脂によって光沢を帯びてきたというのだ。ある観光客は銅像の写真をSNSで共有したところ「全員が爆笑した」とイギリス『サン』に語っている。
これもひとえにC・ロナウドの人気がなせる業だろう。今後も観光名所、金のC・ロナウドとして新たなご利益を生むかもしれない。
