イタリア代表のロベルト・マンチーニ監督がチームの完敗を認めた。『UEFA.com』が伝えている。

イタリアは14日、UEFAネーションズリーグ(UNL)2022-23リーグA・グループ3の第4節でドイツ代表と対戦した。UNL3戦未勝利の相手に立ち上がりからボールを握られると、10分に失点を許してしまう。前半終了間際にもPKで追加点を許したチームは後半に守備が崩壊して3失点。その後、FWウィルフレッド・ニョントに代表初ゴールが生まれ、終了間際にもDFアレッサンドロ・バストーニがゴールを挙げるなど意地を見せたが、2-5で敗れた。

4日に1-1のドローゲームを演じたドイツとの再戦で5失点大敗にマンチーニ監督も落胆を隠さず、相手がはるかに優れていたと完敗を認めた。
「このような形でシーズンを終えるのは残念だ。ドイツが強いのは理解しているが、我々は彼らに好きなようにプレーさせてしまった。我々にはいくつかのミスがあり、チームとしてうまく守れなかったと思う」

「ドイツのような素晴らしいスピードを持つ相手にリードを許してしまうと、スペースができる危険な状況となる。常に多くのリスクを背負うことになるんだ」

「信頼が無くなれば去る」イタリア代表監督を辞任し大批判を受けたマンチーニ氏、息子がその経緯を語る「青天の霹靂ではない」

イタリア代表監督を電撃辞任したロベルト・マンチーニ氏。息子が突然の決断ではなかったと主張した。イタリア『Il Secolo XIX』が伝えた。 現役時代はイタリア代表のストライカーとしても活躍したマンチーニ氏。引退後は監督業をスタートさせ、フィオレンティーナやラツィオ、インテル、マンチェスター・シティ、ガラタサライ、ゼニトと歴任していた。 2018年5月にイタリア代表監督に就任。ユーロ2020で見事に優勝を果たした一方で、2022年のカタール・ワールドカップ(W杯)の出場権を逃していた。 ユーロ2024の出場、そして2026年の北中米W杯を目指すチームを強化し、今年8月にはU-20、U-21イタリア代表のコーディネーターにも就任していた中、突然の辞任を発表となった。 この発表には多くの批判が寄せられ、世界に驚きを与えたが、かつて選手としてもプレーした息子のアンドレア・マンチーニ氏が突然のことではなかったと明かした。 「彼が辞任するのは初めてではないし、最後でもないだろう」 「そして、それは青天の霹靂ではなかった。彼と代表チームとの関係はしばらく続いていたが、チームを愛しており、何かが起こらなければ彼は残っていただろう」 突如思い立ったことではないと明かしたアンドレア氏。その後すぐにサウジアラビア代表の監督に就任し、2027年まで契約。年俸は2000万ユーロ(約31億6000万円)とも報じられ、金に目が眩んだ更なる批判が生まれていた。 アンドレア氏は、断れるオファーではないとし、過去には良いオファーがありながらもイタリア代表のために拒否していたと語った。 「その後、サウジアラビアからのオファーが届いたが、そんな契約を断ろうと思う人は100人はいるだろう。ただ、それを断る人はほとんどいない」 「父は、過去に代表チームへの愛を理由に、他の重要なオファーを断ったことがあるが、自分に対する信頼がなくなったと感じれば、父は去るはずだ」 イタリアサッカー連盟(FIGC)との間に亀裂が入ったことが辞任の理由だとするアンドレア氏。選手の招集にも批判が集まっていたが、マンチーニ監督はセリエAで有望なイタリア人がプレーする機会が奪われていると主張。アンドレア氏も同調した。 「父はシモーネ・パフンディのような2006年生まれの選手を招集したことで批判されたが、バルセロナには2007年生まれの選手がいる。ただ、パフンディはウディネーゼでセリエAにほとんど出場していない」 過去にはイタリア人選手が中心となってチームが構成されていたセリエAクラブだが、近年は他国の選手が多くプレーしており、イタリア人のスター選手が生まれにくい状況に。優勝を争う上位チームも、中心選手はほとんどがイタリア人以外となっている。2大会連続でW杯出場を逃すなど、イタリア代表が低迷している要因は、リーグの在り方にもあるかもしれない。 2023.09.14 13:20 Thu

「これはどっちも買う」「素敵すぎ」ドイツ代表のW杯ユニが大好評!ホームは1908年をモチーフに

ドイツ代表の栄光を支えたミロスラフ・クローゼ氏。低迷期に突入する現チームに喝を入れた。 ワールドカップ(W杯)の歴代最多得点者(16得点)クローゼ氏。36歳にして臨んだ自身最後の2014年ブラジル大会でドイツ代表を世界王者に導いたが、同氏が去った後のドイツはW杯2大会連続でグループステージ敗退の憂き目に遭っている。 ドイツ代表の低迷にはクローゼ氏の後継となるストライカーが長らく育っていないことも挙げられるが、ドイツ『キッカー』のインタビューに応じた偉大な点取り屋は、ユリアン・ナーゲルスマン監督率いる現チームに喝を入れている。 「(ドイツ代表の)選手たちには、これまでほとんどのビッグトーナメントで好成績を収めてきたドイツを再現してほしいと願っているよ。来夏のユーロ2024に向け、まだ多くの仕事が残っているはずだ。本大会のラウンド16や準々決勝から努力を始めるようではいけない」 「ドイツチームはファンのために何か埋め合わせをする必要がある。以前と比べてクオリティが落ちたなんて私は思わない…ただ、各選手がピッチでチームメイトのためにどれだけ献身性を発揮しているか…どのくらいエゴを抑えているか…疑問もある」 一方で、今後10年のドイツ代表を背負うであろう2人の20歳、MFジャマル・ムシアラ(バイエルン)、MFフロリアン・ヴィルツ(レバークーゼン)を称賛。ムシアラについては自身がバイエルンU-17を率いていた時代から期待をかけていたようだ。 「素晴らしい成長曲線を描いているようだね。彼はあらゆることを柔軟に受け入れ、それを実行する意志も持っている。本当に勤勉な青年だよ。右足でも左足でもトップスピードでボールを正確に扱う。プレーを見るのが楽しいよ」 ヴィルツについても「なんとかバイエルンに連れてきたかったんだがね(笑) 私がバイエルンのU-17にいたとき、彼1人の力で我々は破壊されてしまったことがある…ヴィルツとムシアラの2人はすぐに大舞台に立つだろうとあの頃から感じていたよ」と、自身の手痛い経験から賛辞を送った。 2023.11.20 16:45 Mon
